I went here for the Sunday brunch buffet and it was probably one of the best buffets I've ever been to.
The way it works is you get a menu of different dishes and you can order however many you want, however many times you want. Each dish you order is a small portion, so it's easy to sample a lot of different dishes. While you're waiting you can get unlimited items from the salad bar which includes many varieties of cheeses, desserts, prosciutto, and some hot items like ribs.
Drinks include espresso coffees and freshly squeezed fruit juices.
You'll even be given a fresh slice of pizza and a grilled oyster. The pizza was some of the best I've had in Laos - awesome thin crust with chewy dough and marks from the wood fired pizza oven.
Because all the items on the menu are made to order, the taste is absolutely excellent for each. This is not your typical buffet where foods just sit under a heat lamp.
The steaks and duck are prepared by sous vide and very tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I had never been to a buffet where the foods were so consistently delicious and certainly never been to one where foods were prepared by sous vide. I found myself slowly savoring the taste of many dishes, something that I wouldn't ever do at a normal buffet.
For all intents and purposes, this buffet is basically an all-you-can-eat tasting menu of a fine dining establishment. Service is excellent, foods are freshly cooked, flavors are amazing, and I wholeheartedly...
Read moreA real shame, a fancy restaurant with extremely rude and unprofessional staff. The food is actually good, if pricey, but the service was absolutely appalling.
The restaurant wasn't busy, and it took 20 minutes for the staff to take our order. After we'd been given our food, the staff then never visited our table again... They began closing the restaurant down at 9:30 (They close at 10:30 according to google), they turned the music off, they turned off the lights, and still refused to acknowledge us. We were waiting to order dessert for over an hour, but they never even bothered to come over and take out empty plates until they came over with the bill (after they'd closed down the restaurant with us still sat at our table).
We paid $42 for a decent meal with no service whatsoever. We didn't even get an apology after I told the staff about our experience.
I am absolutely devastated, it was our anniversary meal. I would NEVER recommend this restaurant, you can get just as good quality Italian food in plenty of places in Vientiane with much better service and kinder staff. Please don't go here if you want a nice...
Read moreNot sure when this place is open. They do not follow their hours. I stopped here numerous times during operating hours and never was able to eat here once. A day after leaving my review of being unable to go to this place, the owner retaliates and insulted me. I think I dodged a bullet not eating here if this is how he treats his [potential] customers. I arrived in Vientiane on January 28th and tried to come here around 9:45PM after seeing amazing reviews. The lights were out and nobody was around, so I ate at a spot a few doors down that was open. I came back the next day for lunch, and they were still closed with a sign on the door that said closed. That evening, I found the same result. While this place is obviously still open, they were not open from the evening of the 28th through the evening of the 29th. For an owner to try to run his business away like this is baffling to me and a red flag to stay far far away. Given his attitude, I have lowered my rating as I'd be uncomfortable eating at a place with such an arrogant...
