Tyson Kitchen — Restaurant in Vientiane Capital

Went this evening as was craving something from home. This was the perfect place, turns out the owner, Tyson, lived in Canada. He is very nice and spent time with every customer in the restaurant. Service was excellent, staff were friendly and efficient. The menu offers a good selection of items... including GLUTEN FREE PIZZA crust! That sold me on pizza and we had a chicken presto GF and my husband had ham and pineapple. The pizza was probably one of the best I've had, including numerous eateries at home. The crust wasn't chewy, dry or crumbling. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. The GF is a personal size pizza but you still pay the regular price, that said there was no extra charge for the GF crust. The kitchen isn't guaranteed GF so watch your sensitivities. A very welcoming place in the center of Vientiane, Tyson and his dad knows how to make you feel confortable. We came to try the avocado chicken salad and the zucchini salad. Both was good. The zucchini salad (25 000kip) is more like an appetizer, the chicken one (45 000kip) is better if you're hungry. The avocado was ripe and the chicken very tasty. The red wine was good (60 000kip for half a liter). The apple pie was a little hard but tasty too with the maple syrup. We tried a local drink who consist of mixing a Canadian whisky and maple syrup, it was nice too for a change.

The ambiance is nice, busy place but still relax : dim light and candles on the tables. I liked the music too, not too noisy and diversified : hip hop, pop...

It's a place where you feel good : good service, good food & drinks and...

What a treat! If you're craving beautifully done, fresh and made-with-love food, look no further! We came two nights ago and again tonight for Round 2.

Tyson's Kitchen is a family run restaurant with a wonderful menu specializing in pizza, salads, burgers, sandwiches and pasta. The prices are totally reasonable and the service is excellent. We enjoyed the zucchini salad (amazing - order it), the Veggie Weggie and Supreme Dream pizzas. Ingredients are quality, fresh and served up quickly...and ooooomg, fresh parmesan at the table!!! The servers work with friendliness and professionalism. Indoor/outdoor seating is available and the location is excellent and easy to find. Tyson will most likely be around to welcome you personally.
