Was here for lunch with a friend, early one day - first time in a Hard Rock Café before. I had known them to be a bit naff so wasn't sure what to expect - Place was empty, we were the only customers - ordered a bit of food, I had a burger and fries - and I think a chicken dish - with a cocktail and 4 beers. Also had dessert. Service was great, and the lady serving us was really chatty and super friendly. Also we had a trainee waiter who was learning the ropes - he was friendly and also did a good job. Now I was well happy with the food, the burger was good, and the café itself is cool enough for a walk around - they have a very good collection of rock memorabilia - I was well impressed - BUT the bill was a little pricey - over 55 euros - for this town that's a lot - but I see they added a cheeky service charge and a VAT charge (don't make it obvious!) which came to over 9 Euros - ha, that's kind of taking the pee! Anyway we had a good time so cant really complain too much - but still its Laos so.... Went in later as I was told they had music - had a beer, and yes they had some live music - but the place was empty with only a few Chinese customers. Places around the corner were busier and more livelier. Maybe they are empty as they are too pricey? Good but could do better.

Hard Rock Cafe Vientiane — visited during Halloween and had a great time! The place had a fun vibe with nice shows and good music. Background tunes were chill at first, then switched to a live band later in the night. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but you can really feel the quality in everything from food to service. The music lineup leans toward old-school classics, not really for the younger crowd — but honestly, I loved it. I could sing along to every single song! Great atmosphere for a fun night out.

Good service. They have almost as many staff as tables. I was just there for desert as I had already eaten. I ordered a small chocolate sundae. It had the smallest single scoop of ice cream I’ve ever encountered and a bit of whipped cream and chocolate sauce. There is a service charge and tax added, but the stated price on the menu includes this. They will charge you extra for using your credit card as well. I did think about having dinner here too, but at over $22.00us for a hamburger, I passed.

Now if this was a normal family restaurant I wouldn’t complain however this is supposed to be the Hard Rock Cafe. Our bill came out to 1,080,000 Kip ($53 or 1800 baht) for two people which is standard for “high end”restaurants however the quality of food was very poor.

The New York strip loins presentation was laughable, no sear on the meat, well done when asked for medium rare, veggies were presented raw for some reason. Would’ve expected it to be basted in butter or the steak juices at least. Fries were standard.

Dynamite shrimp, there wasn’t too much to complain about besides it not being as crispy as I would’ve imagined. Other establishments tend to fry it for longer to get that lasting crisp, sauce was spot on however.

Bbq chicken was dry, don’t think it was smoked or roasted, same quality as a standard piece of chicken you usually find from the night market food vendors slathered in bbq sauce, fries again were standard.

Drinks were very strong, don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong with that but wasn’t expecting to only taste the liquor.

Music was all performed in English by a live band and they did a great job at keeping the drunken guests entertained.

Waiters and waitresses were very polite and knowledgeable

If we were dining in the middle of nowhere at a random mom and pop American styled restaurant in Southeast Asia I would say they did an alright job at mimicking western food, but this was at a brand name restaurant with over a hundred other establishments in other countries. From the bill to the quality of food, I’d ignore this place altogether.

There’s plenty of other restaurants in the area with the same menu serving a higher quality dish at a significantly lower...

If you’re visiting Vientiane you must have dinner at least once in their Hard Rock Café. The place is situated in a street full of international restaurants and has some parking spaces.

When you enter you can find the merch shop, selling t-shirts, hoodies, teddy bears, pins, and drumsticks. I went in end July and there was a promotion of a burger menu with a free t-shirt but I still bought some other merch since it was so cute.

The food was very good, we all took different burgers and I chose the Romanian burger and we all agreed it was the best one by far! You have a lot of different choices on the menu, Lao as well as international.

The atmosphere is really the main reason you want to go there, Rock bands are playing while you have dinner, I suggest you go on Fridays since the group is really really good ( On the Rocks), they cover famous classic rock and pop-rock songs, and during the breaks they play some playlist with trendy songs.

I won’t to give a special mention to the server that really makes your dinner extra special, he is a Filipino dancer that will make you vibe as you’ve known each other since birth. He is really nice and has amazing energy, thank...
