The staff is okay enough but if you reserve in advance you cannot pay by card, cash only and it was slightly more than advertised. The room is decent, but the walls are so thin that you hear everything from multiple rooms. Even worse is that the reception is in the center between all rooms less than 2 meters away so people that come at night or early morning will disturb all customers, and since no one is at the reception at night people ring the bell and wake up everyone, it happened 3 times in 2 nights. The worst sleep I had. Also cockroaches in the room and so much mosquitos that when I sprayed with bugspray I could pick them off my bed.
Edit: its funny they replied, I will update the review accordingly. They say they watch through the camera but that doesnt matter if no one is at the reception. That doesnt prevent people from coming in and ringing the bell cause they see no one is there. Also the power went out and their camera they say they watch through started loudly saying connecting multiple times, waking me up even more. And then you cant even sleep in late because there is no sound isolation because people that leave talk loudly and you can hear them...
Read moreOur room was positioned as family room but it was dirty. We cleaned the room they said, but we had found black hairs in the shower and on the sheet. We were with 2 children and we can't take off our shoes all the time. The Room is situated on the first floor and doesn't have windows, only 4 rectangular holes with glass under the ceiling. Strange smells like as very old building so they try to fight it with chlorine (unsuccessfully). I had a strong feeling that I was in Russian hotel in early 1990th with wi-fi. IMHO Doors were installed before war in Laos and never replaced. Tell me guys, why do you need a keylock in the toilet's door? Beds were not so old - 10, maybe 15 years old, but the table and the cupboard looked really old. Only one good thing I can say about this hotel - it's location. Price was high. Service was poor. One half of sockets in the room didn't work. Wardrobe had only one hanger. There's no safe...
Read moreLocated right in the hub of hostels, hotels, restaurants and the night market right around the corner. Art the owner is friendly and helpful. When we decided to leave Vientiane a day early he had no problem with us canceling one night. He booked us a bus to Vang Vieng. The stairs as others posted are very steep but we are in our 60s and no problem, just go down slow. There is no river view but a cool Wat right across the street. No breakfast but try the health food restaurant 2 doors down, great. Fridge and kettle in the room. Rooms are basic looking but bed was comfortable. My only criticism is it could have been cleaner. Our feet were dirty from stepping on the bath mat, sheets looked dingy and we found a few hairs that definitely were not ours. For the price and location it's a good deal right in the centre...
