Best restaurant experience in Vientiane!! Absolute MUST visit! I went to Sticky Fingers twice and I can 100% recommend this restaurant. At first I wasnât sure because there are so many restaurants to try, and of course there are lots of yummy laos dishes, but in the end I was craving pork ribs and decided to head to Sticky Fingers. Best. Decision. Ever. The ribs are meaty, tender, succulent and you get a really big portion, definitely worth the price. The first time I came, I ordered it with chips/fries â they were thick, crunchy, a great pairing for the slightly spicy, sticky (hence the restoâs name I guess!) bbq sauce they drench the ribs in. (Seriously I may have to steal their supply of that sauce and literally drink it lol).
Now, I loved my meal but I adore mashed potato, so I emailed the restaurant once I got home to ask if it was possible to mix and match menu items and got the loveliest email from the owner. When I returned a few days later, I met the fantastic woman herself. Sheâs so nice and clearly cares about the customer experience. We had a chat and then she came back with this super cute Sticky Fingers polo! So so cute and, fyi, the meal was even yummier on my second visit.
I actually donât leave reviews that often but I want to say Sticky Fingers has been the highlight of my trip to Vientiane. If youâre craving home food (who doesnât, from time to time!) get to Sticky Fingers. I only tried the ribs but the other dishes look yummy too, and youâll be treated like youâre at the ownerâs home. (Also the waiters are cute and the music is a brilliant mix of 00âs pop classics haha, I loved that too).
Great experience! Five stars...

Fish and chipsâbut with wedges. And honestly? Good call. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, way more bite than sad skinny fries. Fish is fried to golden armor and comes alive once you dunk it in tartar sauce.
Chicken Kievâthe deep-fried butter cannon. Crunchy shell, juicy chicken, mayo riding shotgun because apparently one sauce is never enough.
Wonton soupâAsia peeking through the curtain, offering a light broth with dumplings, chili, and lime to keep things interesting.
All paired with an ice-cold Beerlao, which basically glues this whole cultural mashup together.
Verdict: wedges win, music soothes, beer delivers, food comforts. This is Europe hiding in Asia, and itâs...
Read moreThis is one of the worst restaurants I have ever eaten at. I went with a few people who live here and they have been to this place before and said it was "OK". Not a ringing endorsement. I ordered falafel. What came was not falafel but some mushy stuff breaded on the outside and deep fried. totally inedible. The hummous that came with it seemed to have been made from chickpeas, but that's the only thing it has in common with hummous. It was tasteless and had a weird texture. My dining companions were not much more enthusiastic about their meals than I was about mine. There are lots of good places to eat in Vientiane, both Asian and Western food, but Sticky Fingers is not one of them. I gave it one star because this site won't allow one to give none. My advice is to...
