Belgian Beer place Nr one in whole Laos. Fyll of Tin Tin stuff. My favorite place in Ventiane. For me the worlds number one Tin Tin Belgian beer Restaurant. One of the best places worldwide to be for me personally.

Never seen a better beer Bar in my life. Find this place opposite the street close to the Mekong. Tedious process to list all the Belgian beers. All the best beers of the world available there. Because they have all this followed beers right below in the List. And more check out also the pics.

I came across this place on Google maps while looking for some bars in Vientiane.

As much as I enjoy drinking Beerlao, after two weeks in Laos I had a craving for something different.

Chokdee cafe boasts an outstanding selection of mostly Belgian beers; about 8-12 are on tap, the rest in bottles. Most impressive is the assortment of glassware; as shown on the beer menu, each bottle comes with the appropriate glass from the brewery. Prices for Belgian beer are obviously higher than domestic but seemed reasonable. I can’t speak to the food too much as I only ordered the fries, but they were tasty and came with mayo as in Belgium (and ketchup).

The decor of the place also really stands out, with lots of Belgian drawings on the walls and movie posters like Tin Tin. Great service too; our waiter properly poured each beer.

All in all, great spot for anyone craving something different than Beerlao (though they have it too) and willing to...

As an avid beer enthusiast, I was quite pleased with the selection of beers that was available both on tap and in bottles. Even though some of my favorite beers weren’t available they had similar options. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and the location was good, 15 minute walk from my hotel.

I ordered the trucker sandwich with beef, in terms of flavor it wasn’t bad and the spicy sauce that came on the side was good but the beef seemed more like a small burger patty cut up into a few pieces and put in a sandwich and the baguette was a bit dry. Personally I would prefer if the beef was either chopped or minced like in a sloppy joe so it can be more prevalent. Also it doesn’t specify which vegetables are in the sandwich and it had pickles which I personally don’t like but were only on top so easy to remove.

All in all, a solid 8/10...
