The Cabana Design Studio & Cafe is definitely a highlight for those looking for a relaxed atmosphere and excellent food whilst staying in Vientiane. The ambience at the Café is serene with relaxing music and soothing aromas from both the kitchen and the coffee bar. The menu hosts fantastic variety with a good mix of both Asian and Western dishes. I ordered the salmon pasta dish, a muffin along with locally sourced tea that was absolutely delicious. The staff were kind and attentive. I was fortunate enough to have a quick conversation with the owner as well. They were very knowledgeable regarding the locally sourced ingredients and provided further insights into the design of the Café . I would highly highly recommend Cabana to any wayward travelers or long-term residents of Vientiane. Treat yourself, relax and enjoy a meal at this...

My biggest challenge is deciding what to pick off the menu -- lots of breakfast items, rice bowls, sandwiches, salads, etc. I haven't had a bad meal, it's all very tasty. Also a nice selection of smoothies/shakes and good coffee. I like the dog bowl -- deep fried pork on rice, and during my visit last weekend I had chicken on a bed of cous cous. My son loves the big breakfast and the pancakes with fruit (mango, dragon fruit, and papaya). Great bakery items, I love their cookies. Cabana is a good stop for people who like waffles and pancakes, coffee and muffins, or quick,...
