The business lunch selection wasn’t great, but I needed to grab a quick meal in the area. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu with potatoes and asked to have it without the blue cheese sauce, as I really don’t like it. Only after paying was told it couldn’t be removed because it was “inside” the dish. I had asked several times if it could be made without it, but since I was short on time and there weren’t many alternatives, I agreed.
When the food arrived, the entire dish was completely covered in cheese sauce, with actual pieces of blue cheese on top! I honestly don’t understand why it wasn’t possible to simply serve it without pouring sauce all over the plate — especially since those cheese pieces clearly weren’t “inside” the chicken, as the waitress had claimed. The only explanations I can think of are either the chef’s stubbornness or the fact that the dishes are pre-made and just reheated before serving.
Overall, not picky-eater friendly. Such a disappointment for €12. The poppy seed and chocolate bun is probably the best...

The place itself is very nice and located just off renowned Alberta street (Art Nouveau district). We popped in for a drink but I looked at people's food and it looked nicely presented and looked delicious. However the service is horrible 😞 We sat for 15 min and noone gave us menu so I went downstairs to get one. Then we couldn't grab any waiters attention to place the order. We finally managed to do so. When we were chatting one waitress came to us and said "yes, what do you need?" We was very surprised and said that we are fine and we have been served, her response was "well you just waved your hand", which I didn't. The expression on her face was like "client is always wrong" :)))) That's not the way to go. I think restaurant needs to do some wait staff training. Other than that...
Read moreI have been a regular at this café for about a year, frequently stopping by for coffee and pastries, and my experiences have always been positive—until today. This morning, I brought my family for breakfast, and unfortunately, we encountered some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
When we arrived, the café was empty except for two staff members behind the counter. We waited for 15 minutes, but no one came to take our order. My wife eventually approached the counter to ask if someone could assist us, only to receive an unprofessional and rude response. The staff member curtly replied that they would come over, but even after another 7 minutes of waiting, no one did.
Frustrated, we decided to leave. As we walked out, the same staff member stared at us in silence, offering no apology or acknowledgment.
