This is one of those rare occasions in space/time where affordability meets Flavor Town!
I ordered a Chilli Ripper, regular fries with spicy sauce and their in-house pineapple-peach Kombucha. Where to begin… some thoughts while consuming this bountiful feast: “This is the best burger I have had in a looooong time!” “Wow. Just, wow.” “All other burger places in Riga are garbage compared to boo the burger!”
The food came out very quickly. Presentation was very nice.
The Chilli Ripper was so good, that I made caveman noises while I devoured it. Not proud of that, but food this good prompts a primal reaction. Fries were utter perfection! Crispy, hot and just the right quantity. The spicy sauce was a nice addition. Pineapple-peach kombucha was the best kombucha I’ve ever had! That is no lie. Perfect balance of pineapple, peach and kombucha fizz. This drink was the perfect pairing for the Chilli Ripper. All of this heavenly bliss for €15.40 ($16.85 in gringo dollars). What a bargain in a fairly expensive part of town.
I highly recommend you and your entire family/neighborhood/school stop by for...
Read moreThe staff at Boo Burger were the strongest part of the visit. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely tried to make the experience positive. They were quick to take the order, checked back at the right times, and had a professional yet easy manner that felt natural rather than scripted. Unfortunately, the food itself did not come close to the same standard.
The burgers were good but basic in every sense. The bun was good, the meat was cooked through but without much flavour, and the toppings felt like an afterthought. Nothing stood out as creative or memorable.
The portion size was fair, though presentation was plain, and there was little about the meal that justified visiting a place that brands itself as a burger specialist.
The gap between the quality of the team and the quality of the food was obvious, and while I appreciated the service, I would not necessarily recommend the burgers themselves.
They have a GREAT music...
Read moreHidden in the art nouveau district, Boo is a promising place, with unique atmosphere and approach, but unfortunately could not meet the expectations. I took the macdaddy with double patties, bacon, cheese and dijonaisse. It was not bad, but more like between a Hesburger/McDonald's and an artisan burger place. The bun was very good, but the meat had no beef taste at all and the bacon wasn't that intense either. Overall the burger would be fine, there is the opportunity to make it better just make sure to buy the right, good quality ingredients. Burger was costed €8.5, but currently it is worth around €5 top. Also we took a cheese fries, which was actually awful: frozen potatoes with super cheap cheese sauce - just skip it if you are here. I hope this feedback gets to the owner and they might rethink my suggestions because it is such a shame to ruin such a...
