Cloud Nine — Restaurant in Riga

Extremely disappointed.

I made a booking for work for 9 people on Friday night and I was really excited because I really wanted to try the place plus with all the good reviews I thought I was going to look great in front of my team and my bosses, once we arrived there we were turned away because they didn't really take the booking even though they had confirmed it to me via chat "Sorry we messed up, we didn't take your booking you can try going to X instead" was all I got from them which obviously with 9 people on a Friday night doesn't really cut it.

I looked so m bad infront of my bosses and I couldn't even do a big drama because obviously I didn't want to make the night worse... I truly hate leaving bad reviews but it was so embarrassing that I had to.

Hyped and very modern place in Riga. Not a lounge and not really a club or cocktail bar. But a bit of all. We went there a Friday and Saturday night. Friday we couldn't get in as you have to be on the guestlist/have a reservation, but when you get in, you get good quality cocktails (maybe a bit overpriced). Be prepared to get into a place where people smoke water pipes (Nargile or hookar). I wasn't and find it a bit disgusting. In my opinion smoke in every form is the contrary of exclusive. I'm glad I didn't eat there even that the food looked very nice I have to admit. So I end up giving 3 big stars, as I have to rate the place for what I did see, and that was a coktailbar/lounge that wanted to be highend, but in my opinion wasn't quite there in a international...

Recommend booking on busy days to avoid disappointment- As an experienced traveller and cocktail maker I was really looking forward to trying Cloud 9 and booked a hotel nearby for that reason, when we arrived we were immediately apprehended and asked if we had a reservation, when I said no but a table for two please we were told there was no availability, so I asked how could I make a reservation and was ignored as they welcomed the next customer with a kiss on each cheek - I have since contacted Cloud 9 via Facebook messenger and made a reservation for a couple of nights later, and was not disappointed at all.
