Equus Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Riga

Nice restaurant with its own authentic atmosphere. The interior includes multiple medieval elements like a superiorly restored ceiling. The food was nicely prepared, without unnecessary complexity. Specifically, the salmon tartar was fresh and pleasant. However, the dessert, a tart, might be less sweet and contain more fruits or berries. Also, the honey delivered with tea was too liquid, almost diluted. Anyway, the waitresses were amazingly pleasant...

As a hotel guest, I wanted to get something to eat. The place was only half full, but the waitress said that due to a high number of guests, the kitchen wouldn’t operate for an hour. However, by the time they will reopen, they will already be closing. This is really disappointing. I love this hotel and visit regularly, but this experience is leaving a bitter taste.

Overall everything was okay, but we wished that there was more flavor. Mashed potatoes was probably worst part. No salt and texture was horrible. Duck also was overcooked. After the main course no one asked if everything was ok and they just picked up the plates and forgot us. Presentation was nice although. Still would not define as...
