Urfa Turkish Cafe — Restaurant in Riga

Encouraged by the positive reviews of this place my husband and I visited for dinner. Sadly, our experience was nothing like the pleasant, welcoming experience described by other diners. Firstly, the staff member that greeted us and took our order, whilst lovely, seemed inexperienced and had to question even our very simple order. Then the food took a ridiculously long time to come. Whilst we waited and all during our meal we were surrounded, not by other diners, but by a very large number of men all lounging around the furniture and either talking loudly on their phones or watching videos at high volume. As the numbers increased they crowded us more and more, completely encroaching on any personal space. It was most intimidating. Eventually our food arrived and was sadly disappointing. We had the mixed platter for 2. Priced at a reasonable €35 no complaints about the price. However, the platter was largely bulked out with liver. The liver was nicely cooked and the chicken was good. One kofte was partly raw whilst the others were fine. There was no flat bread or dips. I did ask for yoghurt dip but was given mayonnaise, BBQ sauce and a tomato sauce. Extremely disappointed with this shop. Definetly not recommended. First of all they barely speak english. Waited for more than 40 mins until food came in. Food came in all cold even the fries. Sauces came in without spoon. Only fork and knives. Toilets were not clean and out of toilet paper.

Lastly when we were going to pay they tried to scam us. We ordered two whole plates with 2x extra adanan kebab seperately and they insisted and really wanted to charge us for a 4x whole plates.

Very unprofessional and definetly never coming here again. Extremely poor service and lastly arrogant reply from the owner who speak turkish with his colleagues.👎👎👎 ...

While looking for Halal food in Riga, I found this restaurant. When first time we visited, we tried Has Has ( lamb minced). it was absolutely delicious, salads and rice were given as sides. those were fresh and crunchy. food quantity was also good.

we visted there 2nd time to try the tasty food before returning from Latvia. we ordered Chicken platter. the food was again top notch. most importantly it was fresh and delicious. the restaurant owner really melted our heart by offering us the dinner. May Allah (Swt) bless him and reward him with...
