Žemyn upe — Restaurant in Kaunas

This place is so special and has so many negative things it's difficult to find which one to start from. The so called hotel has just couple of rooms. There is no normal reception and entrance is getting closed at random hours. During the week you can expect the door are closed from 19 to 9 in the morning. They don't want to give the key to their guests and there is now way to open the fire emergency door from inside. It happend I was locked for over an hour because they forgot there were some guests inside. During the weekend they organise a very loud night disco club just under the rooms. Impossible to sleep until 4-5 am. Entrance for you will be extra paid though!!! Parking on the weekends is also a challenge. While during the week it wasn't a problem on Sat morning I found out my car blocked by vans and tents of a local bazaar setting up on that day. Every time you want to leave the place before they unlock the exit the annoying guard will keep asking where you go and for how long. He barely speaks English anyway.... and very little Russian. the last thing is the room service - my room was cleaned after 8 days after I asked few times for that. If you really want to rent this place...
