Sushi Masters — Restaurant in Kaunas

I ordered sushi for takeaway. The food was prepared quickly, and the taste was good — no complaints there. However, I was really disappointed with the portion sizes compared to the price.

It was our first time ordering here, and we expected portion sizes to be similar to other sushi places in Kaunas. Unfortunately, we were wrong. A normal adult would probably need at least four portions to feel full. We ordered three portions for two people, and after eating, we were still hungry and had to look for more food at home. And we’re not even big eaters.

One portion had just five pieces. Another portion cost €9 — the same as a similar one in MAXIMA that costs only €3 — only the quality here was slightly better.

Prices are higher, portions smaller... You don't get to this place to stuff yourself for few Euros... Miso soup with udon and tofu, for 5 EUR just very small, even in Japan and other Asian countries the soup is part of a standard meal and if paid separately, for such a small portion just a small price. Not the same here.... Sushi, I tried maki, was really delicious.

Staff was nice, although after I asked a "glass of water" I received a bottled water which was not my intention (local tap water is one of the best in the world!!) ..
