On November 8, 2025, my husband and I came to “Miesto Sodas” for dinner. The café was about 60–70% full, yet we were not allowed to sit at a larger table and were seated instead at a small two-person table in a very uncomfortable spot. The waitress explained that this was the company’s policy — larger tables are only available if your bill reaches at least €100. We were quite surprised by this “minimum spend” rule — since when do restaurants set an MOQ for dinner?
Throughout the evening, several larger tables remained empty, and toward the end of our meal, another couple was seated at one of them without any issue. This raised questions about the consistency and fairness of this so-called “policy.”
Because of this attitude toward customers and the unclear rules, we definitely don’t plan to visit this café again. The waitress didn’t even try to provide polite or friendly service, and when asked why double standards were being applied and what happened to the supposed “company policy,” she started making awkward excuses, clearly having nothing...
Read moreOne Word: AWFULL I ordered a speciel chicken dish with vegtables and beans. I expected a nice meal especially beacuse it was located on the main street in Kaunas Centre. What i got was frozen vegtables that you buy in a god damn supermarket. You could defentialy know beacuse one of my carrots was green. The beans was mushy and not well cooked and the main food, the chicken itself was badly made and tasted like a forzen chicken you can buy at your local bad supermarket. Worst of it all, I went to the reception and complained and asked if the vegtebles was frozen and if it all was freshly made. All three Waiters answerd coldy "yes" like if it was a normal thing to do in a resturant. Honestly I truly beleive everything they serve is frozen. Dont go in there unless you want to have a quick way to puke after drinking too much going out. U...
Read moreWe had lunch at Miesto Sodas on Sunday. The food looked alright however the Royal salad(6.5€)came with green beans instead of asparagus. We were not informed when ordering that the ingredients would be swapped. The waitress did not react to the comment at all and not even apologised. Not even asked if we want to eat it or we want it changed. No discounts offered either. Asparagus probably is one of the main ingredient that actually would make that salad Royal. Green beans are far from that. The waitress also made me read the menu again as if I did not read it properly and it was my mistake. Menu clearly states "smidrai" and "asparagus" in English. Also the picture in the menu suggests the same. The info in the menu is very misleading. However location is very nice and...
