It is the first vegan restaurant that had a rude attitude towards our dogs. We got in because there was no outside table and wanted to ask if it is ok. None spoke english, but they moved us somewhere between the pharmacy and the restaurant like they wanted to isolate us. In addition to this, they did not seem happy to see us accompanied by dogs, which is ironic considering that they are branded as a “vegan” restaurant. The food came surprisingly fast (which is a bad sign as the food is probably old) and did not have a lot of flavour. We ordered spicy bean soup, vegetables broth, mushroom steak, beetroot steak and soya steak. The soups were tasty, but the main courses were extremely disappointing. No flavour, only 1 COLD potato with 2 small salads and a sauce that follows the “no flavour” rule + 2 small patties. The cherry on top was the soya patties that were burned on one side. For 30 euros we could have found something better to eat. I do not recommend this restaurant, especially if you bring along your furry friend. I cannot understand how they have such a big...
Read moreLocal food veganized! Idk why this place isn’t on more vegan lists because it’s fantastic. Right on the beautiful, quiet pedestrian walkway. English menu available, great prices. My only issue really was narrowing down what to get. Beet soup is an obvious choice. Vegan savory pastries aren’t super common, so that’s a must. I went with spinach and it’s delicious. Dumplings as a main is the right move.
Enjoyable experience, just the thing I want when traveling. But I will say, if you are accustomed to especially rich or heavily spiced cuisines these dishes may come across as simple. But you can adjust your expectations accordingly and enjoy the experience and...
Read moreA fantastic vegan restaurant in the centre of Kaunas next to the main boulevard serving traditional Lithuanian foods. They serve a wide variety of classics such as koldunai and cepelinai which are incredibly delicious. In addition to an amazing menu of mains they have an extensive range of pastries both sweet and savoury which they can warm up if you like; they also have a small range of other foodstuffs which can be bought to take away. All the staff we met (we went there almost every day of our trip) were very lovely and helpful in the face of our stupid questions. A brilliant restaurant with talented chefs and delicious food, a place you must visit if you...
