Botanist — Restaurant in Vilnius

We came to Botanist for dinner with a group of 10. The place was empty (at least the terrace), the food was actually very nice. But the service was simply terrible. It felt like they had new hires with no experience and no manager to look after the service. We ordered food, and after we ate the table wasn’t clear for the rest of the dinner.. eventually one person from our group just started clearing the table and putting the dirty dishes on the empty table but even that did not bring waiter’s attention 😣 during the dinner I asked for more bread, and the waiter just said “no, it’s not possible, it’s not on the till”, but the other waiter eventually brought the sliced bread to the table (but by that time we finished the food). Unfortunately the poor service by the Manager and her lack of management skills ruined our dinner ! ! Since the moment we stepped in , she walked us in our table and left the menus without a smile or even a word!! Food was ok, but The water was expired, the glass of wine I ordered had a stain by a lip glose (change it without any apologies) , have forgotten our main courses (!) and we have been served the dessert first and the main courses after! As you understand this is not up to anybody’s standards… the most unacceptable though was her attitude towards the bill where she only took the …water of the bill without any apologies . wandered in here while looking for a lunch spot. sat in the terrace, didn’t need a reservation even though the place filled up completely. place is pricey, but probably normal for the location. but the food does not match the price. starters are not to be shared (as it says on the menu), portions are small. the ingredients used do not mix together. the food is average, at best. ! only one starter and main meal for a vegetarian. cocktails are not bad. please be cautious of the restroom, it is in the basement and the stairs are very steep. the cleanliness there is under every critic and better would...
