This is not Georgian House, and I will tell you why. It is an insult to Georgians, who are known for their warmth and hospitality. Visiting Georgian House in Vilnius risks destroying this beautiful image. Sit comfortably in your chair and enjoy our crazy story:
We booked a table for two at 18:00. Upon arrival, we were led to a table squeezed next to a large group, with no space to sit across from each other. We were quite literally crammed into place.
Then came the first shock: it took 35 minutes before a waiter even acknowledged us. When they finally did, we placed an order for drinks, a first course, and a second course. And this is where the absurdity began—the waitress informed us that we would receive our second course before the first because the kitchen “makes it quicker.” Have you ever heard anything that ridiculous? Maybe we should have bought them a clock and given them a lesson in time management.
To make things easier, we decided to only order the first course and then place a separate order for the second later. We thought we had settled the issue. But no.
As soon as we took the first bite of our first course, we were immediately pressured to order the second course right away because, apparently, our reservation was only for two hours. I pointed out that this was not our fault—it had taken 35 minutes just to place an order. But instead of acknowledging their mistake, the staff bluntly told us, “That’s just our playbook.” I was shocked.
We asked to speak with the manager, hoping for some sanity. But no—she simply confirmed the same ridiculous rules. We were literally pushed out of the restaurant. This has never happened to me before, and I always make an effort to be 100% polite as a customer.
And if that wasn’t bad enough: • They don’t ask if you want water. • The staff have no clue about the wines they sell. • The overall service is beyond unacceptable.
Honestly, I could list more funny issues, but that is irrelevant compared to the sheer madness of how we were treated. This place is a disgrace to Georgian hospitality. Avoid it...

We received an invitation to visit this restaurant again. We reserved a table and arrived on a Thursday when the flow of people is less. This time the experience was significantly better than the first time. We got a nice table by the window and the service was also excellent. The food, like the first time, we did not have to wait it long. The food was good, the drinks were chill. One nuance was with the chicken liulia kebab, it was a bit dry, but better than the first time, because the first time it tasted like the "Sahara desert".
The summary is that, although not from the first time, but the restaurant met the expectations. However, second chances can greatly change your opinion. I recommend it.

Four of us came to this restaurant. We were seated on the second floor where there were two banquets and 30 people. The noise was terrible and it caused discomfort. In general, the environment is not bad, the chairs, tables are comfortable, candles on the table, everything was clean and nice. The service is not bad, they poured drinks, the waiters didn't forget us, they brought the food quickly. The food did not surprise us in general, everything is edible, but I could not say that those dishes are worth the money. The wine is warm, the beer is warm, the chicken liulia kebab is overcooked and dry, the chachapuri is small and way too salty... We expected a lot because the reviews were really good about...
Read moreVery disapointing place. One of the worst experiences that I had in Vilnius. Really very far from georgian cousine with very high prices and "soviet kind" approach to customers: very very bad... I visited the place on sunday evening around 9 pm. The welcom words were: "we are going to close the place earlier because small amount of customers and this is don't pay for us to keep it open till the end of opening hours". I was shocked but my friend tald that the cousine is very good and we decided to stay. If you thing that they offered discount or compensation you are very naive... I asked for harcho soup. The waitor interested if I prefer lamb or beef. I was shocked again, couse they have no idea what is georgian food. For almost 7 eur the gave me a small plate of bullion with 3 small pieces of meat an a bit vegetables... the soup have any common things with harcho that I like very much and even like to cook. The salad was no interesting, very regular and the cake was terrible (we just left it). For this and 2 drinks we payd 30 eur... Around 10 they sarted to do all classic things to make you feel that they are closing and you need to leave.... The last disapinting things: the have very nice place for sitting outside, but they didn't invest any cent to designe it. Very bad restaurant. Not...
