Very strong contender for top 10 in Vilnius. But…
Three of us went for a dinner. Waiter was very attentive. We ordered quite a mix. Starters were excellent as was the main course (fish and lamb)
When it came to dessert the choice was at best confusing. Each dessert is a list of ingredients only with no clue as to what you get. This is pretentious and they would do well to remove this idea. One of our party didn’t have anything because they didn’t know what was being offered.
One finally sad point. We had a bottle of water for the table, actually we only wanted tap water but anyway, when we ordered more we specifically asked for tap water. The waiter told us (bearing in mind my friends are not from Vilnius) we recommend you don’t drink the water in the old town.
1, if you need the money for a bottle of water so bad you’re in deep trouble 2, it’s setting a bad image for visitors to the city.
Overall this place will do well. It’s got a beautiful surrounding and everything is well designed. It will become a popular eating place, especially given the location. There are just some very small...
Read moreNice food but there were way too many hiccups. The girl serving us was rude from the point we entered the restaurant. Every time we had a question she answered very rudely like you should just shut up. Also we ordered tasting menu and she told us what is on the tasting menu on that day just to realise that completely different main and dessert have been served. When asked the question why monkfish instead of halibut is being served she just rudely answered this is what is on today’s menu. Despite her telling us multiple times that it is halibut. Simply said worst service ever. Also it took almost 2.5h to serve 3 course tasting menu, never waited that long for food. Food wise only small hiccups, the monkfish dish had spinach and lambs lettuce on the top and wasn’t washed properly, you could taste sand in your teeth also the dessert was way too sweet and this is being said by someone who...
