If you like friendly service and cakes with flavor and not just excessive amounts of sweetness this is not the place for you. Barista was very curt and rude because we came in 30mins before closing and wanted tea and a slice of cake (which we knew we would consume in 15mins tops). Everything from the tea to the cakes was exceedingly sweet. In the tea it wasn’t an issue because they tasted rather like a fruit punch or hot juice and that was still pleasant (but not what we hoped for when ordering tea). The chocolate cake was inedible for me —the level of sweetness was like that of icing. I also mentioned when ordering that I was not a fan of raw cakes and confirmed that the chocolate cake was not that. The barista said it was baked, but while the crust was, the rest of the cake very much was not. Imagine the mouthfeel of a spoonful of softened margarine mixed with sugar — that’s the cake texture. I was so excited when I heard about a fully vegan cake shop in Vilnius but this was extremely disappointing. It’s the sort of place that perpetuates the idea that vegan cakes cannot just be called cakes because vegan = something unpleasant about them that you choose to ignore in the name of reducing your...
Read moreTranquil Street, Tasty Cakes, and Sunshine Sips Kira’s is a charming vegan café nestled in central Vilnius, ideal for a moment of calm and indulgence. The atmosphere is colourful and relaxed, with welcoming staff and a strong focus on quality plant-based fare. On a warm, sunny afternoon, we sat outside on a quiet street.
Our cakes were a delight across the board. I chose the morkų tortas (carrot cake), priced at €4.50, and it exceeded expectations - moist, delicately spiced, and not overly sweet. Every other slice at our table was equally well received, showcasing both creativity and consistency in their making. My iced coffee was also spot-on: cool, smooth, and perfectly suited to the summery weather.
Service was friendly and attentive. The menu is reasonably priced considering the quality and location—most cakes and drinks around €3–4.5....
Read moreAbsolutely loved this place. Best vegan cake, had a banana and chocolate flavour. Just yum! Perfect for my breakfast. My husband loved his vegan mocca cake too. He isn't vegan like myself so can be quite picky. Cakes are kept under cover which is good so you know you are getting a tasty non contaminated cake. I was so pleased to have a chai latte which was delicious and after 1 hr of chilling outside the cafe in the sun relaxing and watching the world go by the sandwiches were on. The jackfruit hot sandwich was outstanding. Just what I wanted. The staff were also lovely and brought our dog a water bowl. Spoke such good English too. We moved in doors for the sandwich, the atmosphere is lovely in there and the aircon was in full force which was so cooling. Thanks ladies, so polite and kind and would go...
