I had a bizarre experience in this restaurant the other night. The staff messed up out order and was very rude. Cannot recommend this place to anyone.
There were two chicken dishes on the menu: Chicken fillet Steak and the Boneless Chicken Roast. I ordered the Fillet and my son the roast. The waiter had trouble hearing our order, so We repeated it very clearly and pointed at the names of the dishes on the menu to make sure She got it right. Despite this clarification, the waiter brought us both the Chicken Fillet Steak.
Okay, no big deal, mistakes happen. But this is when things got weird. The waiter started arguing with us, claiming that We had both ordered that dish. I told her politely that She was mistaken, and that my son had ordered the roast. The waiter then proceeded to claim that the roast and the fillet are the same dish, and that in fact there is only one chicken dish on the menu. This clearly was not true, so I then asked to see the menu again, and indeed, the roast and the fillet are two separate dishes. I told that, to the waiter, repeating that We had ordered one of each. At this point the waiter was being very rude and aggressive. She laughed at us, and implied that We were stupid because We didn’t know that the kitchen slang for the fillet was also the roast, which to this moment I still cannot understand, and it just seems weird to me that the staff would call the fillet the roast, as there is also a dish named roast on the list…
Anyhow, I then told the waiter We were not going to accept the fillet and that We wanted the roast as We had originally ordered. The waiter was again incredibly rude, and told us it would be very inconvinient, because the roast takes about 40 minutes to cook. I said that didn’t matter, and that We were willing to wait, and handed her the wrong dish, which was still on the table as She had made no gesture to take it back even if the argument had been going on for several minutes.
The waiter then left without another word, but I could clearly hear her talking about us and our order in a very harsh and ugly tones with the rest of the staff in Lithuanian. This made me feel incredibly bad. For the rest of the night the whole staff treated us like We were criminals, just dropping the food/drinks in front of us without a word.
We finally got the right dish, and all the food was actually pretty good, but the place left a bad taste in my mouth. Like I said, mistakes happen and it’s okay… but I would expect the waiter to admit that it was their mistake, instead of coming up with a series of lies, accusing the customers and treating us...
Read moreThe child with allergies was refused to be seated because she was going to eat her own food, the only safe for her, while 3 persons were going to make an order. First time in 10 years we meet such Disappointed and ridiculous situation. We travel a lot and never got this bad experience : not in Europe, either North America. Even in Lithuania which we visit every year!!! I’m just wondering if you refuse person with disabilities to be your guest?? Because high level of allergy is disability, or refuse moms with babies because they eat similac and not your beef? We really was going to enjoy the place, but …. Unfortunately! You, guys, have to review your policy as today is 2024! Could be a good theme for the news.
I will answer here. Instead of apology I hear lies! No, we didn’t even had a conversation with waitress with manager only. And she didn’t offer any dish for my daughter! We spoke with the lady and she told my daughter was not allowed to eat her own food. When we asked for the manager, she confirmed she was a manager. We asked for the reason we were refused, the answer was: it’s a restaurant policy, you are not allowed to eat food from outside. I’m pretty sure you have cameras. Hopefully your owner will check them and observe your lies!!! Of course, here you will put misinformation to protect your reputation. )). As for food from other restaurant - it’s a vegan place, which is safe for my daughter. Actually 20 min after we had now problem eating this food in another place. Same as for 4 previous days for breakfast, lunch and dinner ( 12 times) in Vilnius, the day before in Trakai. And never ever before for 10 years. You are the only one exclusive place in the world refusing child...
