I had the pleasure of dining at The Farmer and the Ocean yesterday, and it was truly a memorable experience from start to finish.

We began with a selection of snacks that really set the tone for the evening. The standouts included the beef tartare, mackerel donuts, freshly marinated fish, and snails. While each dish brought something unique to the table, the freshly marinated fish completely stole the show for me — it was unbelievably tender and flavorful, practically melting in my mouth.

For the main course, I had the sea bass prepared on a Hibachi grill. It was cooked to absolute perfection — crisped just right on the outside, juicy and flaky on the inside. Simple, elegant, and delicious.

And then came the dessert: a poppy seed pie topped with strawberries. I’m still thinking about it. It was the kind of dessert that makes you wish you had the recipe — in fact, I’d happily eat it for the rest of my life if I could. 😄

A special shout-out to our waiter, who was exceptionally kind and attentive. They recommended the perfect wine to go with our dishes — each pairing elevated the flavors even more and brought out the best in every bite.

Overall, the entire meal was thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. I highly recommend visiting if you're looking for an elevated dining experience with fresh, creative dishes and a strong connection to both...

My experience at the restaurant was incredibly unpleasant and even resulted in my dining companion and I becoming sick from the food. Despite the overwhelming positive reviews, I strongly disagree and believe that this restaurant is not deserving of such a high rating. The food was completely lacking in freshness and flavor, with the only redeeming quality being its visually appealing presentation. The atmosphere was painfully average and unremarkable, and the service was terribly lackluster. The waitstaff provided no helpful information or insight about the dishes, leaving us to blindly choose from a mediocre menu. Overall, I would rate this restaurant extremely poorly and would not recommend it to anyone who has an appreciation for good food. It is certainly not the kind of place you would want to go for a memorable dining experience, but rather just another mediocre,...

The food was good but I was hoping to explore some more traditional Lithuanian flavors, whatever that would be. I had the tenderloin beefsteak and my brother had the octopus. Both were very good. As a dessert I had the crème brûlée and my brother the pumpkin pie and from what I understand the pumpkin pie was amazing and an absolute recommendation. The interior has a cool style, however we had seats in front of the pastry display which had a strip of LED lighting which shone very brightly into my eyes. I'm being very nitpicky here but with a small adjustment by masking the light from shining into the seating area it would improve my experience of the atmosphere a bit. The giant octopus is...

Very short menu list, so expectations were higher than the reality. The octopus was with risotto without choice. The rice in the risotto was undercooked and with!! carrot! Octopus with rice and carrots. It is absolutely non tasty. I would prefer to have no side dishes at all. The desert: cream brulé. The top layer of burnt sugar was as thick as crème brûlée. To get the mousse, you need to make an effort to break the sugar layer. The prices suggest something unusual and tasty. Reality is different. Cozy atmosphere. The oysters were really fresh. And was complimented by the chef, a liver pate with a piece of bread.

Farmer & The Ocean in Vilnius is a hidden gem blending Lithuanian flavors with Mediterranean and Atlantic influences. The vibrant interior, featuring a striking octopus centerpiece, sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. Their beef tartare is a masterpiece—fresh, well-seasoned, and perfectly balanced. The lamb, cooked to perfection, melts in your mouth with rich, deep flavors. Seafood lovers will appreciate the impeccably fresh oysters. Service is warm and attentive, making you feel at home. If you're after bold flavors, great ambiance, and top-tier ingredients, this spot is a must-visit in Vilnius.

An acquittance recommended that we have dinner here and I was truly impressed by the quality of the food. Fish soup was tasty, tomato based and nicely done. Only issue was that there's more mussels as compared to fish pieces, but still very good nevertheless. (Pictures was for half portion as we requested for it to be shared, which they kindly obligated) The burrata salad shld be one of the highlights, but unfortunately, they ran out and we couldn't try it. The atmosphere is perfect for catching up, not too noisy and lighting is perfect. Wouldn't mind to visit this place again. Keep up the good work!
