I had the pleasure of dining at The Farmer and the Ocean yesterday, and it was truly a memorable experience from start to finish.
We began with a selection of snacks that really set the tone for the evening. The standouts included the beef tartare, mackerel donuts, freshly marinated fish, and snails. While each dish brought something unique to the table, the freshly marinated fish completely stole the show for me — it was unbelievably tender and flavorful, practically melting in my mouth.
For the main course, I had the sea bass prepared on a Hibachi grill. It was cooked to absolute perfection — crisped just right on the outside, juicy and flaky on the inside. Simple, elegant, and delicious.
And then came the dessert: a poppy seed pie topped with strawberries. I’m still thinking about it. It was the kind of dessert that makes you wish you had the recipe — in fact, I’d happily eat it for the rest of my life if I could. 😄
A special shout-out to our waiter, who was exceptionally kind and attentive. They recommended the perfect wine to go with our dishes — each pairing elevated the flavors even more and brought out the best in every bite.
Overall, the entire meal was thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. I highly recommend visiting if you're looking for an elevated dining experience with fresh, creative dishes and a strong connection to both...
Read moreMy experience at the restaurant was incredibly unpleasant and even resulted in my dining companion and I becoming sick from the food. Despite the overwhelming positive reviews, I strongly disagree and believe that this restaurant is not deserving of such a high rating. The food was completely lacking in freshness and flavor, with the only redeeming quality being its visually appealing presentation. The atmosphere was painfully average and unremarkable, and the service was terribly lackluster. The waitstaff provided no helpful information or insight about the dishes, leaving us to blindly choose from a mediocre menu. Overall, I would rate this restaurant extremely poorly and would not recommend it to anyone who has an appreciation for good food. It is certainly not the kind of place you would want to go for a memorable dining experience, but rather just another mediocre,...
Read moreThe food was good but I was hoping to explore some more traditional Lithuanian flavors, whatever that would be. I had the tenderloin beefsteak and my brother had the octopus. Both were very good. As a dessert I had the crème brûlée and my brother the pumpkin pie and from what I understand the pumpkin pie was amazing and an absolute recommendation. The interior has a cool style, however we had seats in front of the pastry display which had a strip of LED lighting which shone very brightly into my eyes. I'm being very nitpicky here but with a small adjustment by masking the light from shining into the seating area it would improve my experience of the atmosphere a bit. The giant octopus is...
