I have been in La Boheme many times. The quality of the service is very fluctuating, sometimes it's good and friendly, sometimes very bad. For example, once, a friend lost her phone and some of the crew helped looking for it and repeatedly asked if they could be of assistance. Another time, our waitress proved to be nothing but lack of professionalism impersonated, got us waiting way too long, forgot our order, did not come up with some sort of settlement after we had to cancelled the desert order (after waiting for more than one hour for it and having spent quite a fortune on other tapas and drinks). After I complained later by writing directly to La Boheme, the manager offered a voucher of an OK amount, but after that she urged me in the most typical (what some other reviewers call the un-charming Lithuanian way - a description I totally agree with) to give the restaurant a good review. So I understand is some sort of Russian roulette, and visiting this place only once is not enough to get a clear picture of it. On the bright side, the food was always quite good, even when the prices are in my...
Read moreA stylish little restaurant in the old town within the old monastery walls. Arched ceiling, a huge fireplace in the center of the room, subdued lighting and furniture cleverly integrated into the interior create a wonderful atmosphere. It's probably not the most suitable place to visit with young children, but if you're over 12, you'll probably love it. Everything we sampled from the menu was quite good and tasty. The bias, as you can tell from the name, is towards French cuisine, but there are some traditional local dishes as well. A good wine list (also with a focus on France). Directly opposite the restaurant entrance is the entrance to the old cinema (which was closed at the time of our visit, but generally it's open and you can watch interesting art house films there). To the left of the entrance is a very 'bohemian' private area where you can mingle and eat lying down, sheltered from other diners by thick drapes. On the walls of the restaurant are real arts by contemporary artists. The exhibition is regularly updated. It is definitely...
Read moreVery nice and cozy restaurant, i like the setting and very accomodative crews.
But i was really dissapponted about the food…it was so faraway beyond i expected. I ordered pasta(fusilli) and i got uncooked pasta, as in i saw and tasted the the raw pasta. I explained it to the crew that i dont want to be rude but i just coudnt eat a raw pasta…The restaurant were not to busy that time since there were few tables were occupied and it was 1.5 hours before closing when i ordered the food. The pasta seems like not made by the restaurant, how it looks and the taste. The grilled octopus is quite expensive consideing the portion and how they serve it, side dishes wasnt that good.
I am also a cook and fan of foods. Have passion in cooking. Not so hard for me to sort and identify taste/food.
But i admire the crews, they were sorry and nice, gave me some options to compensate and gave me some choices nd...
