I stayed at the Pilies Apartment for 3 nights in October 2018. We had the one bedroom apartment on the first floor.||||Pre-arrival:||||We arrived very late (landed at 2am) but the host was able to accommodate this and met us when we arrived at the apartment at around 2.45am.||||Apartment:||||The apartment was fabulous. Huge bathroom with large separate shower and a double bath, plus plenty of shelving/storage for toiletries/cosmetics. Great lighting for doing make-up.||||The living room was also very spacious with a sofa, table and two chairs, and a small but functional kitchenette with pretty much everything you needed (kettle, two ring hob, full-sized fridge, plenty of crockery/cutlery/glasses; some basic foot stuffs were also provided ie tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper; no microwave, freezer compartment, or toaster, however). TV was on the small side for us.||||The bedroom was off he living room through huge double doors and was massive: super king sized bed with a proper duvet, and loads of wardrobe space. Extra blankets and pillows provided plus iron and ironing board. Also a full-length mirror which so many places lack.||||The decor/furnishing was very tasteful: lots of neutrals and some beautiful antique wooden furniture. Huge windows and doors and lovely parquet wooden floors. I didn't bother to take pictures as the management pictures represent exactly how it looks and I felt mine wouldn't do it justice in all honesty.||||Location:||||Excellent. Despite being just off Pilies Street, which is fairly lively with lots of bars and restaurants and buskers, it was very quiet and peaceful, located through gates in a little courtyard. Pretty much all the major sights were within a 20 minute walk, some a little further; but none more than 30 mins.||||Would definitely stay again and am hoping to book it for my parents...
Read moreA bit hard to find by car - the gate is between street number 9 and cafe Fiona. Otherwise it's a bargain for the location. Right on tourist street next to presidental palace and the square where the Christmas tree is located. When traveling in December it's the best find, leave your car in the closed yard and explore center by foot or take Bolt to go to more distant places. There's a small grocery store on the same street to grab something for breakfast as you have a kitchen in the apartment. Lazy cooks can just walk out and dine in any of cafes and restaurants on the same street. Bed is super soft, shower is clean and the apartment is very lovely. Huge windows, wooden furniture, big dining table. The owner speaks English, but you're met by her mother so it's better if you know Lithuanian or Russian. Very lovely lady, living upstairs, so you can ask for help whenever it's needed. Totally...
Read moreStayed there for a week with my boyfriend. We arrived late at night with a rental car. I called Gitana and she explained to us how to get to the private parking lot, where her mother greeted us. The mother spoke no English but was so nice! ||The apartment we stayed in is on 1st floor. Clean and spacious with everything we needed. ||The location is perfect. Right by Pilies Gatvė, a busy shopping street, but once in the courtyard by the apartment you can't hear the noise of the street. ||We really really loved this apartment. We will definitely try to book it next time we visit this beautiful city. ||Aćiu, Gitana...
