Markus ir Ko — Restaurant in Vilnius

Had a wonderful experience at Markus ir Ko. The atmosphere is cozy and old-school in the best way, complete with live piano music that adds a special touch to the evening.

We ordered the beef tenderloin and the house special steak – both were absolutely excellent choices. The house wine was also a pleasant surprise and paired perfectly with the meal. Honestly, some of the best meat we’ve had in the eastern Lithuania region.

One small note: the doneness level of the steaks tends to be a bit lower than expected – so if you usually go for medium, I’d recommend ordering medium well instead.

This is my second visit to this place. This time the service was at an incredibly high level. The waiter (from what I understand, from Ukraine {30 of July evening}) provided service in a way that was unnoticeable to the guests. We had glasses full of water and glasses of wine all the time. Markus is Markus 😀, one of the oldest and, probably, most famous steakhouse in Vilnius.

Located in the center of old town, it has indoor and outdoor seating.

This time we had a lunch here, no problems getting a table - we were the only ones occupying a table, we had a reservation though.

Service was OK, we've got our drinks quickly. Starters arrived in ~25-30 minutes and it took an hour for our steaks. I would say this is obviously too long...
