Review for a Restaurant in Kuching, Malaysia
We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance after our original choice was unexpectedly closed. Drawn in by its already glowing reviews, we decided to give it a try, and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the place had a charming, welcoming vibe with tasteful decor.
Ordering was unique you write the dish numbers on a slip, which was fun and straightforward. The prices were so affordable that we couldn’t resist ordering a variety of dishes alongside our mains. The fried banana was a standout, deliciously crispy with a generous portion that everyone at the table could enjoy. The rice and noodle dishes were solid, and the meat dishes were well-seasoned with bold flavors (a heads-up: the sambal chicken is seriously spicy, so proceed with caution!). My wife absolutely loved the local drinks made from flower extracts, which were refreshing and unique. The rest of our group raved about the iced tea, which was a perfect complement to the meal.
Overall, a delightful experience with great food, kind service, and excellent value. Highly recommend stopping by if...
Read moreMy husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bahe' Restaurant and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The owner was incredibly friendly, taking the time to chat and ensure we felt at home. And suprisingly, she is the owner of Lepau Restaurant!
But let's talk about the food – it was nothing short of exceptional. Bahe' specializes in indigenous cuisine, and every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and authenticity. From traditional staples to innovative creations, each bite was a delight to the senses.
I highly recommend trying their indigenous menus, such as Luba Laya, Chicken Pansuh, Daun Ubi Goreng, Deep Fried Ikan Talapia and Sambal Prawn. 🥰🥰
Friendly service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere – what more could you ask for? It's definitely a gem worth...
Read moreHappy to bump into this dainty gallery cafe by chance when I originally intended to go somewhere else. After 1 week staying in Kuching town, I was much tired of finding palatable Sarawak taste among a handful stalls and local cafe I had tried out. It was a boon to discover the authentic flavour in this cafe run by Ulu family that refreshed my impression towards Sarawak cuisine. I ordered ayam pansuh, yummy to me! The kopi C was also way better than those I had in previous days. I would not hesitate to promote this cafe as its cuisine is meant for repeated customers. Very much appreciate the surprise gift from the owner, kristal fruit specific to Borneo which tasted like mixture rambutan and lychee. I really loved it.
The intricate handicraft displays also captured my keen...
