For the 1st time, I tried Potlam Briyani (with Lamb, Prawn) It was special flavor, all the meat and rice was wrappeed around by Naan. So, you can taste not only rice but naan. That's the point of potlam briyani. The Naan was also good. It's chewy and mixed with briyani sauce. Absolutely tases better. If you tried Tandoori Briyani, then next is Potlam Briyani.
By the way, the menu photo is not correct. I thought Potlam briyani is looking like pasta. But, the photo was wrong. First of all, Curry & Co is moved to near Little India. Yesterday, after their moving, I've visitied for the first time.
The Food was same but much better care and quality. I ordered Tandoori Briyani as usual and Tea Masala. It was as same as before but I could choose Mutton and Prawn inside. But, the price was the same. 20RM. Before it was only chicken and prawn and the prawn was only 2, but now I saw at least 3 prawn. And the taste was better than before.
The kindess and Service This was the biggest problem with this restaurant before. But, this time, I think the owner was changed, and new workers were the owner's parents. They were old and very kind. Curry & Co is now very comfortable place.
The interior and atmosphere This is a little bit needs to be developed as time goes by. The interior is not that trendy and shiny. But, I am sure this will be changed as the new owner took over this restaurants.
Below was written when Curry & Co was located in Nagore Square. Worst customer service but tandoori briyani is good. - but it changed new Waiter and waitress who are always smiling.
Incense is too thick that I couldn't breathe. - Not anymore!
There are 2 waiters. All of them are not paying any attention to customer. No eye contacts, Not metioning of thanks, no good bye! - Not anymore!
But, sadly Curry &co. Will move to new places. Which will be church Street? As I remember. On September.
I hope to...
Read moreFirst time trying food at this place , it’s located at the junction of church street and situated in a old building . You can easily spot it because they have a banner for Briyani outside of this shop itself . I really liked the ambience of the place , old fashion setting with long benches and well lighted with aircond too ✨ I ordered their lamb pottalam Briyani as the main course and drinks I went for bru coffee and masala tea . The Briyani was hot and wrapped well in naan . Also lamb is actually lamb shark which was huge and enough for the whole Briyani and naan too . For RM25.90 for the Briyani , I’ll really say it was worth it because the portion was huge and flavourful ✅ The bru coffee was strong and nice and the cup wasn’t so small like in other shops nearby so was good . I really liked their masala tea could feel a lot of spices in it and paired so well with Briyani . The total lunch cost me RM34.30 and for it was nice for the food , chilled place and also nostalgic Tamil songs . 👍🏻 The only minus point is that they are lacking in staff so rather than sitting and waiting . It would be better if you walk straight to the counter and order and they will serve the food . Otherwise everything...
Read moreWe went there to taste the lamb briyani, unfortunately they run out of stock. So we chose briyani chicken. After almost an hour waiting, only one of us got to eat the briyani coz they said they run out of stock. So nobody is checking their stock? Like, they've just opened for an hour and immediately have to close back coz everything was sold out. We understand maybe they just opend the restaurant and a lot of things still need to be improved, but getting this kind of first impressions from your customer might end u up losing lots of customers. Well thankfully their chicken briyani was ok 😂. This place has a huge...
