The best part of our 4-night stay? Leaving. We couldn’t wait, it’s currently 4am and I am lay here writing this review to warn you to stay away! Honestly, if you’re into dark, smelly rooms with stained bedding and sleepless nights then this place is your dream. For the rest of us, it’s a pure nightmare.
We arrived thinking, “Hey, this might be alright,” thanks to the lovely reception staff. But as soon as we got to the room (305) it reality hit hard. No windows, dim lighting, the charming scent of stale cigarettes lingering in the air and an atmosphere that screamed ‘abandoned basement’. The walls looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since 2003, the bathroom was grim, and the bedding oh the bedding looked like it had been through a horror film shoot. Stains everywhere. Not even subtle ones.
We complained (as any human would), and in came someone who acted like she’d just walked off a reality show known for drama. She examined the sheet — visibly stained and insisted it was “clean”. She then stood there arguing with us at 11pm like it was some kind of live debate show. Only after 20 minutes of pure madness did she finally give in and changed it. What a performance.
Sleep? Forget it. This place is never quiet. You’ll hear everything from people hacking up lungs and yelling at each other to TVs blasting and music thumping through the walls. And let’s not forget the constant sound of people gobbing everywhere like it’s some kind of Olympic sport. As the grand finale, every toilet flush or tap use triggers a water pump louder than a plane taking off.
Needless to say, this disaster completely ruined our Georgetown trip. We were shattered every single day dragging ourselves around the city like zombies because we hadn’t slept a wink. Instead of enjoying the sights, we were just trying to survive the stay.
We’ve travelled across Asia and stayed in all sorts of places, but this? This was a new low. Terrible rooms, awful customer service, zero rest. If you’re even thinking about booking this place, think again. Unless you enjoy misery - then by all means, go ahead. Otherwise, avoid...

Read moreWhen we arrived we were greeted kindly & professionally. The rooms were clean. The AC is strong for the rooms.
Everything was great except a few things that knocked down the rating by one star.
You can twist your ankle on the ledge entering the bathroom. I kicked my toes & slipped entering the bathroom many times.
The bathroom hook beside the mirror always falls off. Figured out this is actually what turns on & off the hot & cold water supply.
The club next door is blasting its music. Especially the base till 3am! Luckily, we were in a room further away, but I could feel the vibrations.
the loud banging of the room doors. I understand it's a morning town. But the maintenance workers with radios could also try to close the door gently as well. Or maybe have a sign telling EVERYONE to close the doors softly. This diminished our quality of sleep.
Other than that. The hotel is in a tourist area. More little India. You can walk up to China town or catch a taxi and head up to the malls or a ferry if you're going to...
