Nyonya Portrait Photography — Local services in George Town

Our family had Timmy as our photographer and the whole experience was excellent. We actually saw Timmy in action last year and travelled to Penang from Singapore with the sole purpose of having him photograph us in a Peranakan setting.

We were there from 9.30am for hair, makeup and selection of outfits and started photography closer towards 11am till about 1pm. During the whole process, Timmy was very patient and was very accommodating to requests as well as catering to the needs of our eight and fourteen year old daughters.

Timmy was an excellent guide, making us very comfortable and at the end taking stunning pictures in good light, poses and backdrops. His eye for detail made the difference between good and excellent pictures and we are very much impressed with his professionalism and creative output.

In all, we think this is a must do activity in Penang that would be cast in our memories for generations to come. We highly recommend Timmy and his team of photographers at Nyonya Potraits in the Pinang Peranakan Musuem.

My besties and I (3 of us) had the most amazing time with our photographer, Timmy who skilfully captured our best angles in our Nyonya makeover experience :) The rich Nyonya heritage engulfed within the grand mansion truly turned back the clock to enable us to totally emerge into that past era in our role play. From outfit selection to makeup & hairdo to our amazing photo shoot session was a smooth flow. Arrive early in morning to be the first few to avoid the crowd that builds through the day. We recently had a family photoshoot with Timmy, and it was a truly wonderful experience. Our group included 14 family members, ranging from elderly grandparents to young children, and Timmy handled everything with professionalism and care. He was incredibly patient and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the session.

Timmy gave us great advice on poses and how to arrange ourselves, which made a big difference in how the photos turned out. The final pictures were absolutely beautiful—natural, well-composed, and full of warmth. He created a relaxed and fun atmosphere that brought out genuine smiles from everyone.
