The food was actually tasty. However, the bill came as a surprise: 40.95 MYR. For a canteen-style eatery, we found it pricey. For context: We shared a plate of Nasi Briyani, with me having Tandoori chicken and cabbage, while my husband had fried chicken with half-salted egg and eggplants. I also had the ice mint tea, and we had a bottle of mineral water.
We felt a bit taken advantage of, possibly due to being non-locals. What's more, there was no receipt provided, and we only realized how we were being ripped off after walking quite a distance.
For comparison, the day before, we had a satisfying meal at Deen Mutiara in Hutton Lane, with lamb, kerupuk, telur asin, okra, and ayam goreng, all for half the price.
