This has to be one of the best meals I had in Penang. Took a while before deciding to come visit this place. Was strolling around the city looking for places to eat, there were some to try first but disappointed it was a bad day all were closed so ended up walking nearby and found this place. Was quite late in the afternoon there were still a lot of people in the cafe. Had a look at the menu didn't know what to order so asked the staff for help. They recommended me some items so I went with my instinct to get those I wanted to try. So ordered a drink, a savoury and a sweet bagel. First came the peppermint hojicha latte, ordered because I found it curious to add peppermint to the latte. The drink tasted not bad as the hojicha was pretty strong, not sure if that's the reason the peppermint taste was very mild and not very noticeable. Next was the savoury bagel and it was the super Mario and I added scrambled eggs. Turned out to be very good and I loved it a lot thanks to the recommendation. Was thicker after adding the eggs and the sauce was very good too it was very enjoyable but also quite messy to eat. Was already very full after finishing the savoury one then realized I still have another sweet one which was the pistachio grandeur. That bagel also took me by surprise because that concoction of pistachio and cream cheese was just so heavenly. This is a definite recommendation to try if you are there. Was super full on the verge of exploding. Definitely a very great meal and don't underestimate these bagels they are really kick ass! Definitely worth the price and worth...

I recently visited this charming bagel shop and decided to give their Strawberry Cream Cheese bagel a try. To me, a bagel just isn't complete without cream cheese, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised!

The strawberry cream cheese was a delightful twist that perfectly complemented the traditional bagel. The combination of the sweet strawberry flavor with the savory bagel was a match made in heaven. The bagel itself had that satisfying crunch on the outside, while being wonderfully hot and creamy on the inside. It met my expectations for a good bagel experience.

My only tiny quibble was the size of the bagel – I found myself wishing it was a bit bigger. I also would have appreciated a tad more cream cheese to truly indulge in that fantastic flavor combination. However, these minor details certainly didn't overshadow the overall deliciousness of the bagel.

The atmosphere of the shop was cozy and inviting, and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a unique twist on a classic favorite, definitely give their Strawberry Cream Cheese bagel a try. Just be prepared to savor every bite and perhaps order an extra one to satisfy your cravings!

Overall, a tasty experience that I would happily repeat. Keep up the great work, and I'll definitely be back for more bagel adventures!

first trying this spot & it didn’t disappoint! i’m from nyc so my food expectations can be higher than others lol. i arrived at 3:10 on a sunday & there was a line outside. i was informed that i would only be able to take out being that they were closing and backed up on orders. after getting inside and ordering i was able to sit down & eat which i was happy about. i tried the philly cheesesteak bagel, mushroom bagel & iced matcha. i absolutely loved both bagels 🥯 i’m still thinking about them 😭 my partner also really enjoyed both bagels his favorite was the philly cheesesteak. and the reason we ordered those was because everything else was sold out, which is crazy. the matcha could’ve been better. I did requested to be sweet, but the girl made it too early so they had to end up putting it in the fridge and I started to melt which I get diluted the Matcha by the time the bagels was ready. All in all I definitely recommend this place if you ever in Penang, I may have to visit again before I leave and I would also recommend figuring out a better system to manage all the orders because unfortunately they have their grab turned off because it gets a little bit overwhelming in the shop so I had to book a ride to go 30 minutes just to try their bagels it was...

JOJA Bagels – The Best Bagels in Town! We had the pleasure of enjoying JOJA Bagels three times—twice dining in and once via delivery—and let me tell you, their bagels are sensational. Believe me, I’ve lived long enough in NYC to recognise a great bagel when I taste one! Generously filled, with fresh, high-quality ingredients in both the bread and the toppings, every bite is a delight. My personal favourite is the Classic Lox Bagel, with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and scallions—un délice! Their sparkling soft drinks are also excellent, pairing perfectly with their bagels. A special mention for their thoughtful packaging: bagels come wrapped in paper (this is how you serve a bagel), including the straws, which I truly appreciate. The next step to perfection would be replacing the plastic cups! The bagel shop itself is charming, clean, and stylish, with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are lovely, preparing each bagel with care (and yes preparing good food takes time) and even adding a friendly note to Grab orders. For my birthday meal, this is exactly what I want—nothing beats a simple, high-quality product made with love. Thank you for the comfort food—keep up the deliciousness!
