If I were you, I would avoid... The hotel is nicely located opposite a park but the front road is quite busy so not great for light sleepers. Also, not exactly in the heart of the town. The rooms are very nice, given the colonial style but everything is super worn, from furniture to tiles, towels & linen. I personally did not mind but if you’re into more lavish things, it’s a no go.. However, what was truly annoying is the service and overall experience. I arrived late as my visit to Georgetown was a last-minute decision, I asked whether there was a room available for two nights. The receptionist requested a passport and amount of money and that was it, I checked in. Then next day, I wake up by loud bangs on my door yelling “room service”, I opened all puzzled and was told by a different employee that it was past the check-out time so I immediately had to leave the room and pay (!). I explained that I had the room for 2 nights and that his colleague had already collected the payment upon check-in but he told me what I paid was only the city tax (what?) and I had to pay the rest, cash only of course, and was charged late check out (!). His explanation for all this mess was that the other receptionist does not speak good english. Mistakes can happen but how they’re handled is what makes a difference. As it was not the customer’s fault, we could equally assume responsibility -maybe at least waive the late check out fee as a gesture for an apology- but oh no, I was basically kicked out for a mistake that was not mine :) With that many lovely accommodation options in Georgetown, I would not be surprised if they go out of...

Read moreI honestly don’t even know where to begin with how horrible this place was. I booked this hotel because it looked decent online, but my experience was an absolute disaster from start to finish, despite its central location. I stayed here (with family) for two days and booked my stay through Agoda.
First off, they advertise tea included with your booking. Well, guess what? No tea! I asked at the front desk, and they just shrugged it off as if it was no big deal. It’s not like I’m asking for a five-course meal; I just wanted a cup of tea as promised. So frustrating! And don't even get me started on the used soaps they provided. Who in their right mind would think that’s acceptable? The soap was literally half-used and disgusting, like they didn’t even bother to check it before putting it in the bathroom. Super unhygienic and completely unacceptable.
Another thing is that the bed was a total disaster. I’ve never slept on something so uncomfortable in my life. The mattress was either broken or just ridiculously old, the springs were poking through, and I woke up with back pain that lasted for days. I’ve had better sleep on a park bench.
To top it all off, the room was dusty, the staff was unhelpful, and nothing about this stay made me feel even remotely comfortable. I’m genuinely shocked this place is still in business. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere but here. This hotel is a complete scam, and I wouldn’t wish it on my...
