Penang is truly a paradise for Southeast Asian cuisine, with influences from all over blending Chinese, Western, Indian, Malay, and Islamic styles. But most options tend to be strong flavored, high in salt, sugar, and oil. That's why it's such a rare treat to find fresh, creative vegetarian fare here. And this restaurant certainly doesn't disappoint. The flavors are light and healthy yet comforting - a true vegetarian gem in Penang. It's no wonder that even after over a decade in business, this restaurant continues thriving despite the pandemic. I also love that the menu outlines the health benefits of each foods that go into the meal, I think it's a nice thought. Some of my go-to favourites there are the soups, the Bah Kut Teh and the Tom Yum are delicious and also the nutmeg juice! The atmosphere is very relaxed and quiet and feels rather homely, kind of like visiting your grandparents in retirement home... but not in a bad way at all. It's just that the place looks and feels very clean and calm. I couldn't recommend this place enough, the food, the staff, the location - you'll probably end up eating...
