I visited this restaurant for first time and was turned away because they claimed to be fully booked, even though most of the tables were empty. On second visit, I made a reservation, but the experience was underwhelming. Many items on the special menu were unavailable.
The food was served with lengthy delays, averaging 15 minutes between each dish. While waiting for our food, we witnessed them turning away at least 20 potential customers, citing that the restaurant was fully booked, or the kitchen was closed. However, the restaurant remained quite empty throughout our meal.
We ordered fried chee cheong fun which tasted like regular char koay kak from hawker stalls. The turmeric chicken claypot was bland, and the salted egg chicken claypot was also diluted. Both dishes lacked the expected flavours. Lastly, the char hor fun lacked the “wok hei “ (the smokey flavour from high-heat stir frying).
I attempted to place a takeaway order and was told they had run out of fish, needing to refry it. Overall, my experience was disappointing. There’s definitely room for...
Read moreVariety of choices for fashion Western and local delicacies. The staffs are friendly and very helpful. I ordered their hokkien mee. Very nice. The soup is not very salty like some of the hawker stalls outside. Their food is emphasised on healthy cooking, with no MSG added. Well I know Uncle Roger will not like it, but I still believe in healthy cooking without MSG. 😉 The environment is conducive and relax. Something I need to comment is their plants all dry out and dying. Better replace some new one so the environment will be more lively. The ang mo said their coffee is nice. I cannot commend because I did not order any caffeine today. You may give yourself a try if you are a coffee lover. Price wise, for me it is very reasonable as a cafe standard. Not overpriced. Conclusion, it is a...

2021 - Curry Mee is surprisingly delicious and the soup is addictive that I keep drinking it. One of the better butter sugar toast I've had in Penang, bread is crunchy on the outside and still soft on the inside. Drinks is reasonably priced. We will be back again to try your rice sets since it's not available during breakfast hours. Will probably benefit from having call buttons installed for tables upstairs so it is easier to place an order. Other than that, service is reasonably prompt...
