First & last time visit. Good enough parking space, but service & food taste just average.
Is my misunderstanding about buffet method provided by them. Although buffet is similar to hotel or Seoul Garden, we can take from counter or table serve what ever we need as long as not waste it. But before visited, review here wrote is ala carte buffet, then in my mind is similar to Tao Cuisine or BBQ Plaza, that order from menu.
I went in 2pax, plan to order buffet + upgrade to Volcano Stone Plate. Assuming only 6 dishes, decided to pay additional to get add on to get another 9 dishes. Think I can select from these 15 dishes.
Already had idea to pay 39+39+35+15+15 +10%
End up, their buffet is supply in set method. For 2pax will provide 6 dishes + add on 2pax of another 9 dishes, total 15 dishes for 2pax (means 30 portions) on table.
From beginning I just plan to order for 1pax for every dishes and don't want for kimbap & pancake. Only plan to order around 9-10 dishes due to don't want waste the food. I never think to not pay the bill for the order.
While all dishes on table founded too much, ask waiter either can cancel add on, refused by them & said already order can't cancel. Then asked either return back some dishes to save and don't want waste it, also refuse by them & said can't, is in a set, must finish it!
End up both of us can't finish, ask again waiter either can takeaway pancake, riceball & some kimbap since I already paid and just don't want waste the food. Until i think is branch manager came out also refuse my request and just said can't takeaway for buffet without polite.
I'm weird, because if I order extra or refill then can't finish is ok for can't takeaway or fine me for waste food. Now just starter set, the food I already paid, from beginning I said too much for me sure I can't finish it, just don't want waste it also not allowed me to take away, just give opinion to us eat slowly until finish it.
Finally I decided not to continue & make payment then left the restaurant with food waste (they didn't fine me).
Just want to tell everybody, their named as "buffet" not a real buffet style. Is consider is set and just can refill it.
Means if you dine in 4pax, they will provide you with 6 dishes for 4pax. After you finish & want to refill it, I believe they will provide you another set of 6 dishes for 4pax. If another 3pax already full & only 1pax need extra, you also need to finish refilled 4pax dishes.
Can't finish, fine RM10 per 100g.
Is a trick, everybody be careful when order so...
Read moreThis Korean BBQ chain has been a runaway success, sprouting all over the Klang Valley these past few years. Now, they have opened a "Signature" outlet here in Bagan Jermal, a stone's throw away from Gurney Drive.
The outlet is housed in a former house, and therefore affords parking for its customers at the front of the shop. However, there are limited spaces, so if the outlet is crowded, you might need to park nearby,
Glass walls give this restaurant maximum lighting and the spacious dining area is completed with two private VIP dining areas as well. The ubiquitous chimney above every dining area limits how big each table can be, though smaller tables can be added on.
The banchan (side dishes) are self-serve and basically all-you-can-eat. Featuring the usual kimchi, pickled cucumber, pasta salad and a few more, they provide good variety to the meats. There is also an ice cream freezer for you to serve your own ice cream.
The meats were excellent. It's an all-you-can-eat concept if you're going for it, featuring pork and chicken. Other meats are on an a la carte basis and are charged accordingly. I ordered the wagyu to try as well - don't expect an 8 or 9 marbling on it, but it was good enough. I also ordered a kimchijeon (pancake) which was good.
The generous helpings of chicken and the thicker cut of pork made it very good value for money. Along with the free dessert, it guaranteed a satisfying meal. Just make sure you're there with big eaters, otherwise you won't maximise the value for...
Read moreWent out with a group of colleagues, thinking that we can have a time to have a peace of mind after work. But then, today, 5th Feb, a group of about 30 pax I believe had their like maybe team or department gathering. The experience this time was not pleasant. It would be professional for the team to at leaet give a heads up to the other walk in guests or like my case, who have already booked to have dinner there. Worst case, the whole team kept having their yam seng session as if they have fully booked the place for their private event. Please at least have the courtesy to think of other people instead of yelling your heads off for any yam seng occasion. Once or twice, is fine. When it comes to almost 10 times, that's way too much. And guess what? That group of people even brought their own PA system to celebrate the occasion, which is way too much! Lol. Seriously, I believe it did not only affect my table, it affected the other walk in guests who wants to have a simple dinner and maybe to catch up with their own peers. But thanks to these people, it was an unpleasant experience.
Hope you all can improve at least or at least have the courtesy to tell us upfront that there is a group of maybe 30 pax who are having their gathering or dinner here.
I do not wish to that it will happen to anyone to dine in and to encounter similar incidents...
