I recently had the pleasure of trying some Chinese food from a local restaurant and I must say, it was absolutely delicious! The first thing that struck me was the authentic flavors. Each dish had its unique taste that was reminiscent of the traditional Chinese cuisine. The sweet and sour chicken had a perfect balance of tanginess and sweetness, and the General Tso's chicken had just the right amount of spice. The variety of flavors in the dishes was impressive, showcasing the rich and diverse culinary culture of China. Another aspect that impressed me was the quality of the ingredients used. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, and the meat was tender and flavorful. It was evident that great care had been taken in selecting the ingredients, resulting in high-quality dishes. The presentation of the food was also visually appealing. Each dish was beautifully arranged and garnished, adding to the overall dining experience. The attention to detail was commendable, as it demonstrated the restaurant's dedication to providing not only great-tasting food but also an aesthetically pleasing dining experience. The portion sizes were generous, making it a great value for money. The dishes were abundant, ensuring that we left the restaurant feeling satisfied and content. The prices were reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of the food. The service at the restaurant was friendly and prompt. The staff was attentive, catering to our needs and making sure we were enjoying our meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and able to provide recommendations, which added to the overall dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend trying the Chinese food from this restaurant. The authentic flavors, quality ingredients, pleasing presentation, generous portions, and excellent service make it a standout choice for anyone craving delicious Chinese cuisine.

Another Souper Tang branch at Queensbay Mall. We prefer the one in Gurney Plaza for it's taste, and flavour. Even though they are under the same umbrella or company, it should be the same flavour and taste, but somehow, it was very different, and it was less flavourful. The food we ordered was Pork Tripe Ramen Soup, Braised Pork Belly, Claypot Prawns and Barramundi Fish Slides, Eggplant in X.O. Sauce, Broccoli with Beancurd Knot & Mushroom in Hearty Pot of Vegetables. For drinks, we ordered Da Hong Pao (Roasted Oolong Tea), Red Date Tea, and American Ginseng Tea. The notable dishes are Claypot Prawns & Barramundi Fish Slides, Broccoli with Beancurd Knot, and Braised Pork Belly (slightly drier than usual). Good for family, colleagues, and friends. FOOD : Non-Halal LOCATION : Inside Queensbay Mall CHOICE : Excellent TASTE : Good PRICE : Premium AVG.VALUE: RM29-60 per plate / set

It was a letdown. Which is a shame. Because the place is designed beautifully. Spacious with good amount of distance in between the tables. Comfortable seating. Pleasant to the eye colour theme of the decor. Nice sturdy menu that's easy to navigate. However, it's the food that made the experience go downhill. Wasn't sure if the chef was having a bad day, I ordered the wrong food or it was the chef's day off. Let's start with the soup. Very lightly flavoured. Flavour combination unexciting. Aroma unenticing. Also came not boiling hot. The dishes came one after the other fairly quick except the last dish. The only dish I enjoyed was the stone pot steamed rice with pork. Now that had a great aroma with well balanced delicious flavours. The others were average at best. These 4 dishes look about the same colour wise. The lack of colour differences made it visually look as if I was eating the same dishes. Of course you could say that we ordered the wrong dishes but the hallmark of a good restaurant is the ability to suggest a good combination dish or to correct a wrong combination dish. We should have been advised about it but wasn't. But most importantly they don't look like the pictures in the menu. I know that illustration is just a guide but the discrepancy is notable here. Stir fried pork belly was quite generous tbh, the meat was succulent but I couldn't really feel the pu er taste advertised in the dish's name. The rest, meat roll, sautéed barramundi, sautéed mushroom and soychip were pretty standard and really nothing to shout about. You can give them a miss and order the other myriad of dishes they have on their menu. In short, nice decor and environment but food unfortunately not up to par.

waitress gave us set menu to order but when we ordered the senior waitress came and told us they cannot cook the meal because they ran out of eggs. When we suggested that they could replace the dish with the same value, they took a very long time to decide. They finally let us replace the egg dish with a lotus root and mushroom dish. The dish was nice. Lotus root and mushroom were aromatic and crispy. The herbal chicken was tasteless and dry. Soup was peppery and delicious. The fish dish would have been better with oyster mushrooms instead of some random fishcake. Pork belly dish would have been better with actual yam instead of buns that look like yam. The buns were dry and tasteless, and the pork belly dish didn't have enough sauce for the buns to be of any use. The spinach and goji berry dish was light and healthy tasting. The dessert was beancurd served in a big pot but the portion was actually just 1/3 of the pot.

Food wise is average. They had above average food ingredient quality. Recipe wise also they had some interesting choices. Taste wise is standard restaurant standard. Nothing out of this world. Service wise, they came out the wrong sequence, and many ingredients were lacking. They canceled chicken and tofu dishes as they ran out of those ingredients. But how can a kitchen run out of chicken and tofu??? They are clearly understaffed and had difficulty serving us on time. Could see uncleared tables as the staff were busy serving and attending to customers. Despite that, most of the staff are not in a bad mood and that is something positive. Atmosphere wise it's a nice place in qbm and also the table were spaced quite wide apart making the place comfortable enough to eat and chill as a family. Would think twice about revisiting.

When you wanted to bring your mother-in-law for lunch, you really have to spin your head on what to eat and where to eat. The selection criteria is limited, the restaurant must serve good food, cozy environment, good service, suitable for family especial MIL who is very choosy !! My wife suggested Souper Tang Restaurant in Queensbay Mall. My MIL was first time here, to our surprise, the food is very good & delicious. Servicing staff is friendly and prompt, the environment is cozy and spacious. The food presentation is superb. You must come here if you have not tried before, you will not regret it. Every dishes are unexpectedly delicious & sumptuous. Good selection for vegetarian options too. This indeed the World Best Chinese Restaurant so far, otherwise I will not rate them 5 Stars ✨
