Food was delicious, and initially we were kindly greeted by a server who seemed happy to help explain and recommend us some dishes. When he heard we wanted lamb, he recommended the lamb biryani on a banana leaf. We initially thought it was going to be a simple biryani with small pieces of lamb like most biryani, so we wanted to order two more curries. He said it would be too much food for 3 people, so we decided to just get one.
When the food came out, it turns out that the lamb biryani was lamb shank, with 1 piece per person. It was delicious and so was the mutton kurma that we also ordered. When we were finishing the last bite of the food, he came around to check in, and it was then that he mentioned that we had unlimited refills of the biryani rice. We were stuffed at this point, and if we bad known that we would not have tried ordering more food. The mango lassi and the beer were both delicious too.
Now here are the cons, the bill came out to about RM210, which is about RM70/person. This is single handedly the most expensive meal we have had in Malaysia, and the majority of the cost was the unlimited lamb shank biryani that we ordered based on the recommendation of the server. It alone was RM140 for 3 people, and we were not informed of the fact that it would be lamb shank, unlimited, and what the price would be. If we had known it was lamb shank, or that it was unlimited, we would have been able to assume the expensiveness of the dish. However, without either, we mistakenly did not ask for the price and just went with his recommendation. At the end, he even asked us for tips knowing that we are foreigners. If you are aware of these potential tourist trap-like behaviors and can navigate this situation better than we did, u could likely get a nice traditional Indian meal, but we ended up spending way more than we expected to. That being said, this is still a restaurant worth going to, but foreigners and...

Sharing authentic cuisines among us, brings us more vibrant. We talk about, we share views, we get alongside, we keep as one family. This what beautiful was! In the same roof. Same appetite. Same reason. Same meaning of life.
As usual, morning walk in the heart of Penang. Heritage buildings standings proudly throughout the years. Some dismayed, hopefully the council will brings back it glory times. Each and every building has it history. As we seek, we told, we learned and we understood.
Early I was, walk along Penang Street. Before there was an old fig tree standing gigantic opposite the restaurant. Apparently it has been cut down. The Indian restaurant had been makeshift, interior had a makeover. It's looks vibrant!
Fond of memories, our regular spot. Among all my favorite prawn briyani, saag paneer, butter tikka masala and garlic cheese naan!
Out of this moment onwards. My concentration basically on the meal I ordered. It's priceless! Each taste had it way of expression. It's nice. It's good. It's delicious. It's tasty. It has it own way! Just had a smile. Smile of satisfaction!
They gave a smile. Smile of welcoming. Smile of appreciation. Thank you!
Grateful for providing tasty and delicious throughout years.

Read moreThe restaurant was not satisfying at all. I went on vacation with my friends, and since we were very hungry, we went to the nearest restaurant that served Indian food. The way the waiter treated the elderly couple sitting at the table in front of us was very inappropriate. The couple only asked why nobody had taken their order yet, but instead of responding politely, the waiter raised his voice at them. As they were new customers, the waiter should have explained the situation politely, but his attitude was extremely rude.
The food was also disappointing—expensive and lacking in taste. For below-average food, the price was not worth it. For example, rice with rasam and fish fry cost RM 13.50, yet the portion of rice was very small. They also charged an additional RM 3.50, claiming it was “standard.” Only after we had chosen our rice and dishes did they tell us the prices. Another dish—rice with three vegetables and chicken 65—was RM 20.50. The chicken 65 tasted like ordinary fried chicken, completely bland and tasteless. The chicken 65 portion was so little, I didn’t order one plate of chicken 65 it was 3 pieces of chicken 65. The papadam was like tissue paper.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The quality of the food, the lack of proper flavor, and the poor customer service make it completely not...
