DO NOT GO HERE! I just stood on the sidewalk OUTSIDE the store with my mum and dog (she is very quiet and was carried) looking to takeaway a cup of coffee. As we were looking at the menu hung outside, the owner came screaming at us to move away and stand on the road if we wanted to order. We told her that we weren't going to go inside and that we just wanted to take away coffee. She then proceeded to continue to scream at us saying that if we proceed to stand OUTSIDE her store and not on the road - and I quote - "Malays will not buy from me and I will lose my business because of you". Obviously we were upset but we just walked away. As we were walking, she started to complain to her customers sitting inside the shop about how 'we didn't understand her despite her telling us about the dog'. Very puzzling woman and extremely disrespectful. Truthfully I was too stunned to even say anything. I don't understand how she still has any customers given how...
Read moreThis coffee seller is a kind of place with long tradition. Somehow still famous, yet does not seem to fit new buyers who have certain expectation.
The main annoying thing for me is, even in Aug. 2023 still doesn't offer on site dining. It means you can only buy drinks for take away. So it's no longer like before where you can sit and enjoy toast bread and coffee for breakfast.
Now about the main thing: The Coffee. The coffee is indeed too sweet. That they write Kopi O / Americano is more surprising if you expect black americano coffee. However the uncle (the aunty wasn't there at the time of visit) was friendly. He shaked / frothed the milk manually, and prepare the coffee into the cup, then add the typical star mark on the foam. This of course not possible if you choose the plastic with ikat tepi.
In overall, a unique place to visit if coincidentally near by. And don't take things personally, then you can enjoy...
Read moreSuper good coffee! We just drove past and saw a long queue outside this shop. Out of curiosity, we decided to give it a try! This is actually a stall within a corner shop, serving amazing coffee. The barista is actually an aunty who with her skills, makes great coffee. You can also customize your preferred flavours. We tried the signature kopi ice, which my daughter said is better than Starbucks coffee! And I agreed too..The aroma and taste is very rich and kaw, and the sweetness is just perfect. Not too sweet..Heard the best is the combination of kopi+milo+tea+nescafe..but we did not try. Judging from the long queue, this must be a very popular place among locals..It is worth stopping here for a sip of coffee, you can either take away or...
