OLDTOWN White Coffee @1st Avenue — Restaurant in George Town

I was recommended to visit 1st Avenue while in Penang, Malaysia. As I was kind of hungry so my friend and I decided to have something to eat first before we explore the mall. It was then I found this Old Town White Coffee place. We ordered two different types of nasi lemak and the iced creamy coffee cloud drink. The food is definitely delicious; coconut rice is very fragrant, chilli spicy taste is just right and all the condiments like fried ikan bilis, peanuts, crackers blended well with the rice. Completely dissappointed on the overalll experience. i ordered their classic old town nasi lemak and kaya butter toast. not only was the presentation bad but the food was COLD. I got my order 20-30 mins after ordering but the level of coldness on the food felt like it has been there for an hour. It is ridiculous and i have to reheat my rice( in understand if the other elements was lukewarm but my rice was comeplety COLD.) and "re-toast" my bread. i expected better from old town where they say - old is gold. This is nothing to gold and far from it.Not to mention i can get better food with the price of these 2 orders!

Food is above average. Gotta wait for awhile as they are not the fastest but very very respectable standards for the food. Waiting time around 10 to 15 mins for off peak timing on weekdays they don't have enough staff.

Food: try the supreme curry noodles, wanton mee soup and hot ginger tea if you are not a coffee person. But their white coffee is very nice.

Service is good. There is a male staff who is very friendly and very helpful. He is patient with our request. Very rare for service staff.
