Summary: My family recently visited The Top Boutique Aquarium in Penang, and it was a very enjoyable experience. It's a smaller, more intimate setting compared to Aquaria KLCC but offers a unique and diverse range of exhibits that kept us engaged.

Observations: The staff were particularly friendly and welcoming, which was a highlight of the visit. They were accommodating and created a memorable experience, especially for the children. Our kids were thrilled to have the opportunity to interact with four different types of lizards under the staff's supervision, which made the reptile exhibit a standout feature.

Environment: The aquarium is well-organized into different sections, each with a distinct focus. We found the variety of fish to be impressive, and the exhibits dedicated to sea horses and jellyfish were particularly fun and visually appealing. The environment felt clean and the tanks appeared well-maintained. Conclusion: The Top Boutique Aquarium is a worthwhile destination, especially for families with children. The hands-on reptile exhibit and the welcoming staff elevate the experience beyond a typical aquarium visit. It is a solid choice for a fun and...

Not worth the price, fishes displayed are REPETITIVE and COMMONS. And most of the fishes are in DISTRESSED as you can see below, I’ve put the description and the condition of fish. The tanks are empty and bland as well with only few decorations and hideouts for fishes. Some tanks are empty with fake statue like toad. The worst part is they use a FAKE PLASTIC GRASS in a big tank for big fish. The fish got untreated wound as well. Please take extra care of the marine lives!! Its a one way aquarium so if you need to go to toilet please go beforehand as you cant re-enter. The decoration is alright, but imo it feels more like a DISPLAY place because its DARK and you cant get close to the tanks in there and the tanks are light up with colourful LED. If you want to have an experience with more closure to the marine lives and open space, go to AkuaTAR instead, worth the penny and 90% cheaper. The staffs are alright but its weird seeing them in group like a school trip out of the blue walking inside the place with loud chit chatting and sitting in the middle of the walkway. I...

Not Worth the Price – Very Disappointed

I went to The Top Boutique Aquarium yesterday. I was really excited at first because the website and Google reviews made it look amazing. I thought there would be a big aquarium with lots of fish. But when I arrived, I was totally surprised and disappointed.

The place is very small. The tanks are tiny, and there are not many fish. Most of the fish are small and not interesting. It looked nothing like the pictures online.

The piranha feeding was also disappointing. We waited a long time just to see them throw one small fish into the tank. It was over very quickly and not exciting at all.

The ticket price is too expensive for what you get. It’s really not worth the money.

If you want a better experience, I suggest going to Aquarium Batu Maung or Chew Thean Yeang Aquatic & Pet. Both places are much more interesting. Chew Thean Yeang is even free to visit!

Don’t waste your money here. Just go to one of the better...
