We came in a big group w reservation .
Street Parking is v difficult to find but if ur willing to walk fr nearby pay per entry parking lots ( 3 blocks away ) or take e hailing ride then no issues
Restaurant is clean , good lighting, spacious and minimalist in decor . The young chef came out to explain what was recommended to us and also checked on us half way thru our meal to see if we are okay w the food and service . For now they only serve one type of alcohol which is beer but it was good to hear corkage is free for any alcoholic beverage you bring on your own and glasses and ice buckets are provided too FOC 😄Table water is charged rm1.5 per glass . We brought bday cakes and there wasn’t any extra fees unlike some other restaurants .
Staffs seems to be learning the ropes with their service still but friendly when dealing w our table requests . Toilets are located upstairs and customers must climb steep stairs to get it 🥲
Food was served very fast 👍🏽 upon our ordering , maybe bcus we were the only ones at 7pm ( abt 8pm more customers came in ) … almost every main course ie everything came very fast and maybe it was our mistake of not telling the kitchen to serve our food one dish per every 20min as we wished to share slowly w our friends every dish
Food was delicious and we really enjoyed the pomelo salad , shredded chicken w pita bread ( we requested extra pita bread and it was FOC😁 ) , love the juicy soft pork ribs & truffle pasta . The squid ink pasta can be improved as it was kinda dry & not as tasty as the carbonara
Price is reasonable & we are sure to...
Read moreCame here with hungry stomach and high expectation due to the wonderful reviews. However, the food was very disappointing. Not sure if it was chef problem? Saw the boss sitting there with laptop (don’t just reply comments here, do something like how to improve). Business is competitive nowadays and for sustainability (long term), you really need to know what is wrong. I don’t know, I feel sometimes cafe owners need to be foodie themself or chef and explore more foods. Food was aesthetically beautiful but taste wise was really below average.
Burgundy Escargot - 8/10 (Nice especially the sauce.) Butter Milk Prawn Platter - 5/10 (Frozen prawns and butter milk custard was barely there.) Crispy Japanese Sweet Potato - 6/10 (Not bad but the batter was so-so.) Farmed Mushroom Cream Soup - 7/10 (Thick and looks good. I think it was missing salt? Tasted a bit bland.) Truffle Carbonara Bacon - 3/10 (Barely can taste or smell the truffle. Very bland overall.) Squid Ink Spaghetti - 4/10 (So bland, even the prawn can’t save it. Not worth the price.) Brioche Bread & Banana Pudding - 5/10 (Nah, no-no. Need improvement.) Drinks (Mango Milkshake & Red Apple Ginger) - Normal.
Environment was really beautiful, like Moroccan style but I was wondering if the carpet-like table cloth hygienic enough? It is hard to wash and you can’t change every-time someone finish eating. It is really beautiful though.
Overall, great environment, service was fine. Food really needs to improve a lot especially pastas!...
Read moreWe chose to celebrate this year's Father's Day and (Father's) Birthday at Whisk & Whiz.
Loved everything about this cafe/restaurant; the ambience, the service (super attentive and friendly staff) and the food.
Though the menu carries quite a wide spread of selection, you can rest assured that food quality nor presentation isn't in any way compromised.
Everything we ordered was splendid:-
= Appetisers • Burgundy Escargot 🐌 (RM23.90): There's something delectable in the creamy sauce that really complemented the snail meat. • Cempedak Chicken 🐔 (RM18.50): Apparently their bestseller, which I felt was just average, sorry. • Buttermilk Prawn Platter 🍤 (RM18.50): • Farmed Mushroom Cream 🍄 (RM13.90): Creamy soup, a perfect starter!
= Mains • *Charbroil Of Black Angus Rib-Eye 🐮 (RM88): My personal recommendation; steak grilled to perfection! • Monstrous Pork Belly Rib 🐷 (RM88): Humongous portion of pork belly cooked to perfect tenderness in BBQ sauce. • Iberico Pork Collar 🐷 (RM69): For those who don't consume beef, this should automatically be your first choice! • Truffle Carbonara Bacon 🍝🐷 (RM29.90)
*My only wish was they offered more options for the sides instead of the standard (across all meat mains) of mashed pumpkins 🎃, roasted garlic and mixed greens.
Parking can be a nightmare; unless you're super lucky, I'd suggest you to park elsewhere and walk here.
One bonus for the pet parents out there; they're pet-friendly. Reservations are recommended for...
