This place is one of the known Penang street food places. I can understand why there are mixed reviews for this place as there were some hits and some misses for me. My highlights and tips: - Nearby coffee shops and roadside tables can be occupied to consume any of the street food stalls. If seated in the coffee shops, the same food item available in the coffee shop cannot be ordered from the street food stall. - Drinks must be ordered when dining there. - All stalls accept cash. - Stallholders can be pushy to get you to order. You can always say no and they will respect the choice/ decision conveyed. - The top choices: 1. Char koay kak for the tasty, soft textured and fragrant cubes of noodles. The ingredients are all well cooked and go well together. The wrap up presentation is cool too and with banana leaf being used, it adds on to the fragrance of the dish. 2. White curry mee for the fragrant curry paste. It was tasty and rich. - The ok: the satay and bbq chicken wings. I liked the taste of char from being cooked in charcoal but could do with more depth of flavour. The apom was ok but it was rather thin. Though the lady who was selling it was rather sweet. - The misses: char koay teow as it didnt taste as good as a number of the other char koay teow places in Penang. With the plethora of street food choices, this probably is not the top one on my list. Still decent nevertheless.

We ate at this food street by chance as the tze char restaurant that we wanted to patronize had too long a queue and the kids were hungry. So much street food to try! We ordered the cuttlefish with kangkong and it came in a huge plate! The wonton noodles were surprisingly tasty but we had to collect it ourselves. The rest of the food was pretty much sent to the table. Not many tables around so we were lucky to find 2 to fit us all! We were seated next to a fruit stall so ordering of juices is a breeze. When in Penang, most places serve 3 in 1 coffee. So pls make sure you ask before ordering. I couldn't help it and ordered the mantou with milk. Yummmz. I miss this taste. Haven't eaten in awhile. The kids enjoyed the curly fries too. The hor fun was also very tasty with lots of wok hei. Satay was a starter but the meat was a little too tough for my liking. Learned from the grab driver that there is another bigger food street! Have to try it next time. We drove pass and saw it and it was really crowded and lively!

Go to the stand with three old uncles running it. They serve a DELICIOUS duck broth rice noodle. The best part about the whole experience is the three old uncles. One uncle is responsible for the cooking (he can barely hear), one old uncle is responsible for the ordering (he can barely speak), and the last uncle handles the communication (and miscommunication) between the two of them. It’s a super cute and heart warming experience to see them all working together. Go support them for good food and heart and body warming yummy noodles!
