Hi, based on frd's recommendation, my wife n I tried their food for the 1st time .. We reached there at 2pm. Despite lady boss was having her lunch, she passionately shared with us the signature dishes.. We had a full meal elsewhere before reaching, so we ordered their signature fried fish and ice coffee. My wife and I loved the food and drink and it brought us back to good memories of our mum's home cooked food. The fish were freshly done and so crispy yet not burnt. I could literally savor the crispy tiny bones with no fuss.
I read some feedback of the past on nasty services .. and boss clarified she had hard time finding suitable workers.
Both husband and wife team were so accommodating, highly service oriented and awesomely friendly, topped it off with the best service they offered. The lady boss always wore a smiley face .. well, definitely, she does whip up very good dishes.
I definitely would come back for more of other dishes.
My concern now is, after I have stopped gatekeeping this rare gem, will it become too crowded eventually? As usual, I choose to speak the truth and give due compliments to those who really deserve it.
Part 2. I went back to patronise 2 days later... Teochew boss recommended us the Seafood and fish porridge. I didn't hold high hope but I was pleasantly surprised by the portion, the big prawns, generous ingredients including fish fillets, la la and the soup tasted just to my liking .
It changes my perception towards Teochew porridge.
Must Try: To me, this is one Signature Dish you must order when you visit this old school Perak mixed teochew heritage cuisine.

Read moreDiscovered this new interesting makan place. Following reviews... tried their seafood nasi lemak and yam cake.
Can't taste the coconut milk in the nasi lemak. Most probably cooked without? Sambal belacan very nice. Presentation good...appetizing. Overall food quality just so-so.
Yam cake was kinda weird; serve with tomato gravy. Unable to taste the texture of yam cake at all.
The kopi peng took long time to serve. Arrived almost near finishing my food; thought they have forgotten. Staff work slow motion. 2-3 customers during my visit; not crowded. Kopi peng "No kick" taste.
Maybe will be back to try out the seafood teochew porridge 1...
