This place is a franchise of the Singapore Geylang Lorong 9 frog porridge and thus tasted just as good! The staff was friendly and practical, advising us not to over order since there were only 2 of us. The salted fish bean sprouts side dish we ordered was not quite what we expected. It wasn’t fried the Zhi Char style. It’s a healthy version of blanching the bean sprouts then topping the crispy bits of salted fish over it. I had the chance to check out the renowned frog hotpot spot that has gained quite a reputation in Singapore for its affordability, which is a notable feat considering the city's high standards. However, in Johor Bahru, the prices don't match the same level of cheapness, especially considering the generally lower food costs in the area.

When it comes to taste, it falls somewhere in the middle – not outstanding, but not disappointing either. The waitress was terrible! She should be fired for her rude attitude! Her tone and voice was louder than the customer, and she displayed full annoyance on her face. She’s on the short side, a bit plump and carries an attitude. I was surprised to see a waitress talk back to us in her high voice when we were just simply ordering. I will not come back to this shop unless she is fired!
