Lovely breakfast place. Visited at about 10+ in the morning, only a few tables occupied.
Food that the both of us shared were. Beef rendang nasi lemak, sambal sotong, boiled eggs, fried taro fritter and ham-cheese-egg sandwich. For drinks, ceylon milk tea w earl grey and marriage of tiger & lion.
Food were tasty. Lovely burst sandwich where the flowy egg yolk burst when you bite into it, the ham and cheese makes the bite even more wholesome. Bun itself is soft and slightly fragrant. Nasi lemak is fragrant with the coconut and i think pandan as well. Can eat the rice on it's own. Sambal is slightly spicy with ikan bilis. Beef rendang is soft and tender, yummy rendang also. Sambal sotong is good too, love the soft sotong and the sambal is a lesser spicy of the nasi lemak's sambal.
Drinks were well made, coffee really fragrant, not super thick type. Thought it was balanced. Ceylon milk tea was really lovely too, can taste the fragrance of the tea and earl grey.
All in all a good place to have breakfast. Order food via QR...
Read moreOrdered at around 12pm, drinks took really long to come let alone the food. The order seemed to only reach the kitchen after 10mins of handing in the order - clear lack of efficiency between the kitchen and waiters.
Never mind, waiter returned to ask on what we ordered, confused the both of us, noticed he read the wrong table's order, embarrassingly left - clear lack of experience and training on the waiters
Nonetheless, food finally came after around 30mins of waiting. Unknowingly, we were given the incorrect dish, blinded by our hunger, we proceeded with the dish without checking the order only to notice the chicken was raw and undercooked (shown in the pic there is a significant volume of blood pouring from the chicken) causing mild discomfort and the loss of appetite.
Overall, a combination of poor service and poor quality of food resulted in the score of 1 star. Really nothing more positive could be said about the restaurant other than the filled atmosphere...
Read moreThe moment you entered the shop, you’ll be welcomed by the strong coffee aroma and the vintage touch of interior design. Ordered their nasi lemak with fried chicken, hainam style chicken chop and a cup of aromatic white coffee. The mask lemak is extraordinary! With well marinated and crispy outer layer and yet tender and juicy meat and of course the rice taste good and fluffy! The chicken shop however has a very thick batter covering the meat, less to my liking. The white coffee is a must try if you visit here! Will definitely come back again to try...
