I had an exceptional dining experience at Shudaxia- Mount Austin branch! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the stunning decor that beautifully captures the essence of the Chinese martial arts world. The ambience was both elegant and immersive, making it feel like I had stepped into an ancient wuxia tale. The range of food offered was incredible, with an impressive selection of fresh and high-quality ingredients. Each dish was presented with a unique flair, adding an extra touch of excitement to the dining experience. Like the Pork Liver 大刀肝片, Tai Chi Mashed Shrimp 太極雙滑. Innards lovers will love this place! It was clear that great care went into ensuring both the visual and culinary appeal of every item. The service was nothing short of impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, always ready to assist with a smile. They made sure our hotpot experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. I will definitely be coming back for more! Shudaxia is a must-visit for anyone who loves hotspot, appreciates delicious food, creative presentation, and top-notch service. Highly...
Read moreA friend highly recommended this restaurant for its hot pot and true to his claim, its worth the trip there.
Their Pork Bones Broth was rich, full of flavours, and went well with the Thin Sliced Beef Tenderloin and Beef Ribeye. The rest of the side dishes ordered were quite standard in resto quality, but generous in portion. Condiments counter has a good selections too, but missing Fried Garlic (My preference).
Overall dining experience was Good, especially with the exquisite decoration and ambience of the restaurant, as well as the dedicated service provided by one of their service staff (Frankie), who was attentive, helpful and patient.
The rest of the service staff didnt quite understand what we were talking about or requesting, and did not responded to any of our requests, even when we just asked for Menu to do re-ordering.
Side Note: As the place are extensively decorated, it takes great effort to keep it clean. Hope the management can look into the cleaniness of the restaurant, especially the restrooms area… its rather “Nasty”...

Ordered butter mala broth (medium spicy) and chicken broth. Mala broth was spicy enough for us and we enjoyed it. However it became sour and bitter towards the end, unsure if it was because of the broth added during top up (clear broth) or the constantly boiling of the spices. Chicken broth was ok, looks artificial with the yellowish colour. Broth alone was 40+rm.
Ingredient wise was okok. The prawn paste was decent. A few of the Chinese cabbages had black spots on it. The thick handpulled noodles was yellowish. Not a fan of their luncheon meat, tasted artificial and saltier than the usual ones.
Condiment options are lesser than HDL but it was only 5 rm per pax which I feel is reasonable. Cold dishes were cucumber and black fungus, nothing spectacular. Watermelon was our fav, very sweet.
Nice ambience and design.
Staff was friendly and helped to clear plates and top up broth occasionally.
Total dmg was 160+rm for 2 pax. Reasonable but definitely need to improve their...
