Amphawa Boat Noodle Downtown — Restaurant in Johor

Customer service was bad.

During my first visit, they placed me at the table in front of the cashier which had a speaker blasting music. It's not the good kind of speakers mind you but the cheap bluetooth one where the sound quality is just abhorrent to my ears. The song choice was also... lack of taste (this is subjective, some people might find them tolerable I guess)

But this was the first visit, so lesson learnt for me.

Second and third visits, I requested they placed me somewhere on the second floor because I want to be away from that speaker. The staffs didn't even bother and adamantly placed me yet again in front of the speakers. When I asked why not? "There's still empty spots downstairs"

Mind you there was only ONE MORE SPOT, the next customers got to be away on the second floor.

I lost my appetite and simply wait for my wife to finish eating.

Service was also slow (perhaps I was too in a foul mood already that time felt slower than it should)

Isn't a restaurant supposed to provide the atmosphere and service to go along with the food? If you're not gonna do that might as well make it...

Putting one star because we have no 0 star choice. Do not come.

We have been here years back and it was mind blowing and we came with high expectations.

But this time, it was the most disappointing meal we had thus far. The toilet in the middle of the restaurant smells, though interior was quite nice We ordered a green curry set, but it does not taste like green curry at all, with artificial coloured 3-4 small pieces of chicken. It was a shock for us because it felt like someone’s leftover. We asked them and they came back with a few more pieces of chicken claiming it was prepared by a new staff. Boat noodle meatballs were undercooked Prawn in seafood Tomyam was still translucent and looks undercooked

Overall food does not taste good, not even properly cooked, service is quite slow when the restaurant is not even crowded.

The green tea thai milk tea is ok, but mango shake used to be the MVP but now it’s just artificial flavoured drink.

Only good thing is, they provide...

Came here for lunch and was very disappointed.

There were holes on the floor to the point where my partner and I almost fell from our stool while dining. I even saw another customer who had the same issue. Music was very loud as if it was a club. Waiting time was quite long for the boat noodles. Food quality was really bad. Broth was over seasoned. Noodles were stale and it was as if it was left exposed the whole day. The Tom Yum broth tasted off. I wouldn't be surprised if they told me it was foul. My partner and I had diarrhea after eating here. It's MCO season, yet they use the same menu to give to other tables right after the other without sanitising. The serving window was full of used plates and it was an eyesore to customers.

Hope that they would improve on...
