Food: would not say it's the best meals you had in your lifetime but it's definitely worth the price

Mee Siam was sold out within 15 minutes after they brought out a new batch, and the friitters are great as it was not over greasy even left cold. Pricing was typical JB city centre pricing for a kopitiam.

Service: boss man is, the man I guess. Very welcoming and very patient. We came in with 8 people into his small shop with multiple orders but was able helped us along the way with a great smile all the time while managing multiple orders.

Atmosphere: the shop itself is just the typical old kopitiam that you remembered in your neighborhood, small and with everything you need.

And then comes the major downside which its not the owner's fault, there were multiple constructions happening around the area with loads of dust flying everywhere. Parking atrocious and the stupid red light at the junction was confusing as hell.

Good thing there was a open parking lot right across the street or else I would have been gone immediately.

Overall: not the best food that you must travel specifically for it, but definitely the type where you can stop by for a quick bite, if you manage to stop at...

Stories Cafe is the 'Mothership' of the cafe found in Taman Maju jaya called "Otak Shiduoli". A simplistic layout, no frills and not a menu in sight. Instead, you'll see prices of their food pasted on the wall, where you kind of can guess what they offer. This place, like their branch in Maju Jaya offers fried MeeSiam, Nasi Lemak(theirs is pre-packed) and a few Chinese pastries or 'kuih' which changes each day. Famous for their fried prawn cakes, you can just call a piece for them to cut it for you and enjoy it with your regular cuppa or tea. This place has existed for a long time serving cheap and delicious breakfast to surrounding neighbourhoods. Non-pretentious and clean place. Nasi lemak has great sambal serve in banana leave, otak-otak is flavourful and the vegetable fritters are so yummy. The usual fried mee and mee siam reminds me of a simpler childhood times - nothing fancy so don’t expect any prawns or meat but that’s ok with most who want a satisfying and authentic kopitiam breakfast.
