[Taiwan] Spring Onion Waffle Set = RM29.00 Signature Blend Coffee Americano (Cold, No Sugar) = RM11.00 Service Charge 10% = RM4.00
This is a Taiwanese-Inspired Desserts Cafe specializing in Waffles and Ice-Cream. Air-Conditioned, Nice and Comfortable and I was surprised that it was Popular and Crowded even on a Monday Afternoon!
Staffs are Very Friendly, Very Enthusiastic. They're dressed in a Very Beautiful and Adorable Looking Korean Hanbok-Inspired Costume. This place really exudes a Very Happy Friendly Vibe.
Signature Blend Coffee Americano (Cold, No Sugar) = RM11.00
Served in a Small Cup, the Coffee looks Diluted but is Actually Quite Strong. Noticeably Stronger than Regular Americanos that I've drank in the Past. I would describe this as having a Deep and Smooth Bitter Tone. Not Bad Coffee.
[Taiwan] Spring Onion Waffle Set = RM29.00
I chose this one because this is what they recommended as their Most Popular and also because this Cafe is Taiwanese-Themed anyway.
Its 1 Thick Belgian Waffle cut into 4 Quarters with a Side of Cookie Crumbs and Pineapple Pieces topped off with a Solid Ball of Honey Gelato Scoop.
The Scoop of Honey Gelato is Vanilla Based with a Very Subtle Presence of Honey. The Vanilla Taste is quite Mild and the Honey is Not Overpowering. This tastes Good.
The Waffle has a Very Appetizing Buttery Aroma. Its supposed to taste like Taiwan's 葱油饼 but honestly, I don't taste it at all. The Taste is still unmistakeably a Regular Waffle. Outside Crispy and Inside Fluffy. Decent Tasting, but don't expect it to really taste like Taiwan 葱油饼.
The Cookie Bits and Pineapples are Sweet and Crumbly. When eating them together, I thought they tasted like Taiwan 凤梨酥. Among the Components in the Dish, THIS is the one that I feel represents Taiwan the most.
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
RM11.00 (S$3.40) for the Cup of Americano, no doubt this is Expensive. But then again this is a Cafe after all. I thought it tasted alright as an Americano, Not Amazing, but Alright.
RM29.00 (S$8.80) for the Taiwan Waffle Set is Certainly Not Cheap, but if compared to a Similar Offering with a Cafe in Singapore, I think its More Affordable? I can't remember. It has been ages since I've eaten a Waffle Gelato Set in Singapore. The Waffle was Nice but nothing special, and I did enjoy the Gelato. I loved that the Cookie Bits and Pineapple Component of the Dish was Well-Thought Out to be used to represent Taiwan.
The Main Appeal of this Place is how Joyous and Happy this place legit made me feel. Although it definitely caters to a Younger Crowd, I never felt out of place and the Genuine Friendliness of the Staffs was a Brand New Level of Customer Service that I have yet to encounter in JB. Not even JB HDL Customer Service even comes close to this.
Wadi Hana is not exactly a Famous Place, but to be able to see so many Customers patronize this Eatery on a Monday Afternoon was a real testament on how good this place was.
I entered this Eatery with Zero Expectations and left it with High Spirits and a Happy Mood. I don't know about you, but this is definitely Top Score Material in my Books. Highly Recommended!

Read moreA cosy place that is about 12 minutes walk from Komtar and JBCC. The staff were extreme friendly and will always attend to your query. Knowing we were first time there, the male staff took his time to go through the menu category by category and explains them, patiently. Even provide suggestion based on their experience and feedback by others.
The menu is rather plain. Just words. But with the staff explanation, we had a good idea. They have an online version which will have good pictorial. So after our order, we browse through and see if we want to add on or what we can try the next time.
We ordered (1) Australia, Good Day Mate. Which is waffle with sense of Australia. Staff mentioned that the wafer is slightly bigger portion and suggested for another scoop of ice cream to go with it. Which we did and never regret. When it was served, we can see actually see a resemblance of the Australia Opera House! As the name of the dish suggest... The Avocado ice cream is very good. A good flavor of Avocado and not too sweet. The other scope of ice cream, I go with their recommendation of Man-go-conut. I no comments for this flavor. They also very kind to inform that we can refill the source if is not enough. Which we did ask another shot.
(2) Tiramisu. I would say theirs is slightly bigger portion compare to all others slices that I had ever tasted before. Theirs is also more moist, although not really my liking, but I am not going to complain. Overall, still a very good Tiramisu. I will order this again in the future after I tried others on the menu.
(3) Affogato. I always like this. Ice cream together with the bitterness of coffee. Their coffee is more on the sour side. Still a good combination. Will come back for more. But the biscuit, to me, is big and don’t really enhances anything. Well, I did munch it down anyway.
(4) Buling Buling – Osmanthus Jelly. Comes with the rice balls. I don’t really fancy this. Nevertheless, we still down everything. Chewy rice ball with the Osmanthus Jelly. Still ok.
(5) Coffee, tea or me… Oh this drink that goes with tea and coffee. There is a layer of sour cream on top. Just slight sour only. I kinda of like it. They recommended to have this layer first. Don’t mix. Being first time, we of course go with their recommendation. The tea and coffee mix very very well. A little coffee taste with a blend of tea flavor. I really like this. I am not sure what tea they used, but definitely not those mix we order from traditional coffee stall. Give it try!
I can see their innovative in creating the deserts and drink. They said they welcome any suggestion via the Google review. They will review and see if anything can be created.
Oh.. one more than, we were seated at a table for two. The table is a bit small for our orders. A small downside which we can accept. Well, I guess usually 2 person don’t order as much as what we had. We are just being curious and wanted to try everything. Cause everything sounds and looks so nice. We would have ordered more if we are able to stomach it. Anyway, there is always...
