Vege Coffee 素食 — Restaurant in Johor

Had a bad experience second time I went back there and its quite disheartening because I loved it the first time I visited. It was the lunch crowd and the restaurant was packed, we understood if our food will be delayed but that day was exceptionally long. It took almost 1.5hours and no one came to check on our orders (though we did follow up with them, and them telling us to wait) . Still, at 3pm mark. I still hadn't had my lunch and in the end I cancelled my order and went next door instead. They did not apologise nor compensate for the long wait, which was rather upsetting. I tried being patient and would have be okay if someone at least attend to us and letting us know how long more we will have to wait, unfortunately we were on our own and with hungry stomach, we were pretty frustrated. Found Vege Coffee through google map. Good ambience. Friendly staff. Greeted by Boss man. From the way he serve us, can tell Boss loves what he do. Good food. Reasonable price. Ask Boss about coffee. His coffee are R&D by them. After ordering to his recommendation, he even serve a small cup of other coffee for us to try out. How’s that for passion! We are coming back. Vegetarian of 20 years. This is where they deserve more than 5 stars. I almost forget to mention they don’t take tax & service charge. I decide to leave a $10 tip for his staff. Boss says we don’t take tips. He will incentivise staff accordingly. This restaurant deserve your business.

The food and especially drinks were too expensive and the taste was not good as I expected for the money I pay. There are other restaurants serve better foods and drinks with affordable prices. Avoid going to this place unless if you dont know what to do with your money. I ordered a big breakfast and the croissant was good but the filling somehow didnt go well with it. I guess my homemade croissant is much more better. If you want to eat a healthy meal with affordable price, there’s a few vegetarian restaurants in dedap.
